This Niffler was owned by Rubeus Hagrid in the 1980s and early 1990s.[1]
Biography[]
Hagrid befriended this Niffler at some point before or during the 1984–1985 school year. He showed this Niffler off to Jacob's sibling during the 1984-1985 school year to show them that magical creatures could be befriended.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- Newt Scamander wrote in his book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that Nifflers were black-haired.[2] However, this Niffler is brown and white.[1]
- This Niffler may be the same individual as another Niffler with the same coloration that also appears in the Magical Creatures Reserve.[3]
