These clothes were worn by Rubeus Hagrid when he was six. He later gifted them to Jacob's sibling.[2]
Description[]
The clothes looked handmade out of leather and various other kinds of cloth. There were patches visible on the clothing where it had been damaged and then repaired by someone inexpertly. There was also a large belt that went around the waist and old boots. Despite the clothes being made for a six-year-old Hagrid, he was so big by then that they could later fit an eleven or twelve-year-old quite comfortably.[2]
History[]
These clothes were created at an unknown date, but by at least 1934 they were owned by Hagrid, who wore them when he was six. Due to Hagrid's status as a half-giant, he grew rapidly, and no longer fit him by the time he was seven, but he still kept them. During the 1984–1985 school year, after Jacob's sibling had helped throw Hagrid a birthday celebration, Hagrid gifted these clothes to Jacob's sibling, reasoning that they would probably fit them.[2]
