This magical potting soil mix was created by Rubeus Hagrid sometime during the 1980s.[1]
History[]
Hagrid had been developing a new potting soil mix for use on his own plants when Pomona Sprout had shown an interest in it, as she was looking into why her Fanged Geranium, Gerald, was wilting. It wasn't created in time before Pomona had to leave to go to a Herbology conference, but Jacob's sibling and some Hufflepuff students helped collect the rest of the needed ingredients and re-potted Gerald using it.[1]
