The Ryn Desert is a desert located north of the Caspian Sea in western Kazakhstan and southeastern Russia.[1]
History[]
The Kazakhstani portion of the desert was selected as the location for the Quidditch World Cup in 1877, but for unknown and mysterious reasons, nobody in the wizarding world could remember the tournament actually taking place that year.[2]
