Professors Sallow (d. between 1874 and 1882)[2] were the parents of Sebastian and Anne Sallow. They were deceased by 1890, when their children were young.[1]
Biography[]
- "Mr and Mrs Sallow were professors. Spent nearly every waking moment in the cellar library — noses buried in books. Anne and Sebastian were upstairs when it happened. They heard a sudden crash and ran downstairs — but it was too late. Their parents had crumpled to the floor. A defect with the lamp in the cellar caused the room to fill with an undetectable toxin. Sebastian and Anne were helpless. They had no magic yet."

They were dedicated professors as they spent nearly every waking moment in their cellar library,[3] but died before 1890,[1] after a lamp in their cellar poisoned them with an undetectable toxin.[4]
Personality and traits[]

They were regarded as optimistic, open-minded, and eager for more knowledge: traits which Sebastian wished to emulate.[1]
Their brother/brother-in-law, Solomon Sallow, told Sebastian that his father would be ashamed of his use of the Dark Arts. Therefore, it is likely that these individuals, like Solomon, held a strong aversion to Dark Magic.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
- It is possible they were employed at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as teaching staff, both being professors.
