Sausage rolls are pieces of sausage meat wrapped in puff pastry.[1] Sausage rolls were served at Hogwarts.
History[]
During the 1994–1995 school year, Neville Longbottom was eating sausage rolls in the Gryffindor common room when he heard the loud noise emanating from Harry Potter's golden egg that he had claimed following the first task of the Triwizard Tournament. Believing that the loud noise was the sound of someone being tortured with the Cruciatus Curse, Neville spilled his sausage rolls all over the floor of the common room in his worry that the curse would be used on Harry during the second task.[2]
