The mother of Newt and Theseus Scamander bred Hippogriffs for a living and helped to inspire her son's lifelong interest in magical creatures. Despite this, her son's career in Magizoology was something with which she was "not impressed".[3] She sang Newt and Theseus a song, which in addition was their father's drinking song.
