- "It can be a bit irritating when someone asks me how the new film's coming along when I haven't worked on Harry Potter for two years. Generally speaking, I have no problem with it. Most actors go through their careers without ever being involved in something so spectacular, so I think it would be a bit ignorant of me to object to being associated with it. Harry Potter is an amazing thing. I'm not just being diplomatic here either. I'm still reminded regularly of what a unique experience it was."
- — Sean Biggerstaff[src]
Sean Biggerstaff (b. 15 March, 1983) portrayed Oliver Wood in the film adaptations of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Biggerstaff would not reprise his role until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, nine years after the release of the second film, despite Oliver Wood's larger role in the third book.
Early life[]

After that, for six years, he joined the Scottish Youth Theatre. It was there he got his big break when Alan Rickman asked him be Tom in The Winter Guest (1997).
Career[]
Rickman later recommended that Biggerstaff join the agency International Creative Management. When casting for Harry Potter began, the directors asked Biggerstaff read for the part of Oliver Wood. He agreed and went on to play Oliver for two films.
Biggerstaff was nominated and won Best Actor for Television in the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in Scotland (BAFTA Scotland) on November 18, 2007 for his role in the BBC4 TV Movie Consenting Adults.
In 2016, he played the lead role in the theatre play Right Now, which was critically and commercially well received in Bath, London, and Edinburgh.
