This office belonged to the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic and later, during the puppet administration of Pius Thicknesse, it served as the office for the Head of the Muggle-Born Registration Commission. The only known person to have been in these positions, and thus to have used this office, was Dolores Umbridge. It was found on Level One of the Ministry of Magic as part of the department of Minister for Magic and Support Staff.[1]
Description[]

The interior of the office during Dolores Umbridge's tenure as its owner
This office was a circular, high-ceilinged room overlooking the Atrium, its walls made of pink-grey porcelain tiles and featuring a small fireplace. At some point in her career within the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, the space was assigned to Dolores Umbridge. During her occupancy, it was decorated almost identically to her later office at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when the Minsitry assigned her as the Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts and later (pthe Hogwarts High Inquisitor.[1][2]
The entire room was pink — from the walls to the carpets, furniture, and the lace drapes framing the windows. Frolicsome Feline plates adorned the walls, while doilies and dried flowers covered nearly every available surface. A large white cabinet housed a selection of teapots, and a highly polished desk stood at the centre, covered with a flowery cloth. Within the desk were quills, ink, Spellotape, and enchanted paperclips that coiled snake-like around the drawer. A fussy little lace-covered box held spare bows and clips, while another box contained pink stationery decorated with small cats at the bottom.[1]
History[]
Dolores Umbridge's tenure[]
It is implied that she used this room, among other things, for the purposes of interrogating people she was suspicious of by inviting them for tea that were secretly spiked with veritaserum.[3]
During the 1990–1991 school year, Jacob's sibling from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry visited this office on the instruction of an apparently disoriented Amos Diggory while looking for someone who could provide them with the credentials necessary to participate in a student internship programme for seventh-years after they arrived late for orientation, much to Madam Umbridge's dismay.[3]
Muggle-Born Registration Commission[]

Moody's eye attached to Umbridge's office door
During the puppet administration of Pius Thicknesse, this office also served Dolores Umbridge in her capacity as Head of the Muggle-Born Registration Commission. In this capacity, the office contained a filing cabinet behind the desk that Harry compared it to the one in Filch's office. It contained various files with the names of various workers at the Ministry. During this time, the office also contained a telescope attached to Alastor Moody's magical eye which Umbridge used to spy on the workforce in the outer office.[1] Inside the desk were the books When Muggles Attack and Mudbloods and How to Spot Them by Barrett Fay, as well as The Muggle Conspiracy by Sinistra Lowe, though these books may have also been present during Umbridge's tenure as Senior Undersecretary and not just during her time as Head of the Muggle-born Registration Commission.[4]
Later occupants[]
On the day of the trial of Dolores Umbridge, Higgledy, Umbridge's former house-elf, visited the office to pack it up in preparation for the trial.[5] It is unknown what use this office came to after Umbridge was removed from power; it was likely occupied by the next Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic.
