The shabby basement meeting room was a room used for official government meetings of the Magical Congress of the United States of America, hidden in the Woolworth Building.[1]

In December 1926, at least one meeting was held in the room. It was attended by a group of low-level MACUSA functionaries, and interrupted by Queenie Goldstein, who accidentally dropped a tray of tea cups onto the floor of the basement room.[1]
