Shaftesbury Avenue is a major street in London that runs in a north-easterly direction from Piccadilly Circus to New Oxford Street, crossing Charing Cross Road at Cambridge Circus. Cinemas such as The Great Music could be found here, as well as shops like Dispe Ding ChHoists, Restaurant & Lucky bar, @, Gap and possibly Gherry Tree.
In her youth, Hermione Granger and her parents went to see the theatre in this avenue.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, all the action that took place in Tottenham Court Road in the book instead took place on this street. This was possibly due to the distinctive Piccadilly Circus screens.
