Sheet music is a written or printed record of a piece of music recorded using musical notation. Sheet music allows other musicians to play a piece of music without having to memorise it and facilitates the spreading of music to other people.[1]
History[]
During the 1988–1989 school year, Professor Minerva McGonagall was involved in the planning of Hogsmeade's first ever Summer Nights dance festival. The premier song of the night was a strathspey dance which was recorded on sheet music. After the initial band that was going to play the music cancelled, Jacob's sibling brought the sheet music to the Weird Sisters, who performed the music instead.[2]
