This male Bowtruckle was owned by Professor Silvanus Kettleburn during the 1980s.[1]
Biography[]
During the 1987–1988 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Jacob's sibling cared for this Bowtruckle in exchange for Professor Silvanus Kettleburn's answer of the best way to go to the Forbidden Forest.[1] They named him either Jacob, Barnaby Junior or Newt, after a person of the same name.[2]
Before the Care of Magical Creatures Ordinary Wizarding Level examination in June 1989, this Bowtruckle went loose. Kettleburn and several students searched for him, and Barnaby Lee found him near the Wiggentree with the most Wood lice.[3]
