Silvanus Kettleburn owned a house in the all-wizarding village of Hogsmeade in Scotland, near Hogwarts Castle.[1]
History
Kettleburn lived in this house while he worked as the Care of Magical Creatures Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which he commuted to the school from, and he lived in the house following his retirement.[1]
Kettleburn owned twelve Nifflers in this house, which eventually destroyed the house, along with his boat and prosthetic leg; however despite this, he said he could not wait to get twelve more Nifflers.[2]
On 2 May 1998, during the Battle of Hogwarts, despite being physically infirm, he clambered into the attic of his house and threw his entire stock of Flobberworms out of the skylight at passing Death Eaters. While this had little to no effect on the battle, he felt it showed the right spirit.[1]
