The Skurge spellbook was a spellbook that contained information on the Skurge Charm. It also contained the instructions on how to perform the said charm.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- "Got it! The Skurge spellbook!"
- — Harry Potter upon finding the book.[src]
- In the console versions of the Chamber of Secrets video game, after the Chamber of Secrets' opening, Hermione Granger asks Harry Potter (the player) to find Hogwarts: A History, at the Hogwarts Library. When he found the said book, Harry could not leave the library because ectoplasm had blocked several doorways and openings, as left by the various ghosts who haunted the library. Finally, Harry found the spellbook and he managed to escape from the library by using the charm to clean up all the ectoplasm in his way.[1]
- In the PC version of the Chamber of Secrets video game, Harry does not learn Skurge from this spellbook. Instead he is taught the charm by Professor Filius Flitwick in Charms class, and thus must use it throughout the Skurge Challenge to clean up ectoplasm and can also be used to fight the Poltergeist Peeves.[2]
