"These plants are most efficacious in the inflaming of the brain, and are therefore much used in Confusing and Befuddlement Draughts, where the wizard is desirous of producing hot-headedness and recklessness…"
— A passage about the uses of scurvy grass, lovage and sneezewort[src]

Sneezewort is a species of herbaceous perennial flowering plant in the genus Archillea.[3]

Uses

It is used as an ingredient in the making of various potions, such as the Befuddlement Draught[2] and Strong Invigoration Draught.[4] It is kept with other potion ingredients in the Potions Classroom at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This plant was also covered as part of the sixth year Herbology curriculum at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the 1989–1990 school year.[1]
