The social club was a prestigious club for exclusive wizards and witches who were members of high society. Its presidential position constantly rotated among all members. The president had control over approving candidates, setting club rules, and choosing where they gather. At the time that Jacob's sibling was invited, the president was the famous witch singer Celestina Warbeck.[1]
Before each meeting, guests signed their name into the guest ledger.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- Ironically, despite this club's prestige and elitism, some of its members would go on to become very scandalous figures. Gilderoy Lockhart was a fraud who lied about most of his achievements, Lucius Malfoy lost all prestige when he was ousted as a Death Eater, and Dolores Umbridge was imprisoned for her crimes during the Second Wizarding War.
