"Is this all real? Or has this been happening inside my head?"
The topic of this article is of a real-life subject that has been mentioned "in-universe" in a canon source. The Harry Potter Wiki is written from the perspective that all information presented in canon is true (e.g., Hogwarts really existed), and, as such, details contained in this article may differ from real world facts. |
The solar system consists of the sun and the celestial bodies bound in orbit around it by the force of gravity.[1] This includes the eight planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, the dwarf planet Pluto, their moons, and various other objects, such as asteroids and comets.[1]
In 1995, Professor Trelawney showed her fourth-year Divination class a magical model of the solar system, complete with a "fiery sun" surrounded by the nine planets and their moons, all suspended under a glass dome.[2]
