Sparky was the phoenix mascot of the Moutohora Macaws, a Quidditch team from New Zealand.^[2]

Biography[]

During the 2008–2009 school year, Sparky participated in the mascot showcase at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, along with Barny the Fruitbat from the Ballycastle Bats Quidditch team.^[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Apart from Fawkes, Sparky is the only known domesticated phoenix.
