Specialis Revelio was the incantation of a charm that revealed any spells performed on objects or potions. It was a variation of the Revelio Charm.[3]

History[]

Possibly used nonverbally by Dumbledore when he poked his wand into the purple armchair at Horace Slughorn's house to reveal that the wizard had transfigured himself into the armchair.[4]

Etymology[]

Latin specialis, "particular; individual" and revelare (present tense revelo), "unveil". Altogether the incantation may read as "[to] reveal the particulars [of]".
