This spell was used to conjure a circle of fire around a vicinity.[1]
Behind the scenes
- In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was used by Quirinus Quirrell to conjure a circle of fire in the chamber where the Mirror of Erised and Philosopher's Stone were stored, during the Attack in the Underground Chambers. Quirrell cast the spell nonverbally and wandlessly, summoning the flames with a snap of his fingers to cut off Harry Potter's escape.[1]
- In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 the chamber also had lava beneath it. Whether this is because of the spell or not, or the spell simply lifts flames from the lava is unknown.[2]
