"Those are Spiky Bushes. You may cast Incendio on them but step back to avoid their needles."
Professor Pomona Sprout regarding Spiky Bushes[src]

Spiky Bushes were magical bushes with large piercing spikes growing out of them.[3]

Description[]

They could shoot these spikes at humans close to them, but could be destroyed using the Fire-Making Spell. They were covered in first-year Herbology classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. According to Professor Pomona Sprout, it was best to try and get rid of them from a distance, seeing as the spikes will retaliate when the plant was attacked, and whomever was close nearby would undoubtedly be hit.[3]
