Harry Potter performs a Spiral Dive
- "Harry had suddenly gone into a spectacular dive, which drew gasps and cheers from the crowd. Hermione stood up, her crossed fingers in her mouth, as Harry streaked toward the ground like a bullet."
- — Description[src]
Spiral Dive[1] was a Quidditch tactic used to descend sharply, in a spiral fashion. Seekers could use this tactic to quickly intercept the Snitch.[2]
In the Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff match in 1992, Gryffindor Seeker Harry Potter used a Spiral Dive to catch the Snitch, in which became a record of fastest Snitch catching in Hogwarts School in recent memory: just under 5 minutes.[2]
