The Spot-Bellied Eagle Owlet, as known as the forest eagle-owl, was a large eagle owl with a formidable appearance. It was a forest-inhabiting bird found in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.[2]

It was possible that a Muggle-born student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry owned a Spot-Bellied Eagle Owlet, that loved to deliver the post and munch on a well-deserved Owl Treat, during their school years.[1]
