- "Our Welcome Witch will be happy to assist you."
- — Sign at St Mungo's[src]
This witch was responsible for helping visitors and telling patients which floor to go to at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.[1]
Biography[]
When Harry Potter visited Arthur Weasley with the Weasleys at Christmas 1995, the Welcome Witch appeared to be a typical secretary type; somewhat rude, brief, and monotonous, which was likely used to be humorous when Harry Potter read a sign, reading "Our Welcome Witch will be happy to assist you".[1]
Physical description[]
She was a squat little woman with short, blonde hair and blue eyes.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- A Welcome Witch appears in St Mungo's in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, but it is unclear if this is the same witch from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, as she has brown hair instead of blonde, and the two witches have never been confirmed to be the same person.
