Stephen John Fry (b. 24 August 1957 in Hampstead, London) is an English actor who narrates the UK editions of the Harry Potter audiobooks and also narrated three instalments of the Harry Potter video games: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.[1]

During his early career in comedy, he teamed with comic Hugh Laurie, who is currently most famous for his role as Gregory House on the FOX drama "House". The duo appeared alongside each other in their sketch-comedy programme, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, in Blackadder as George (Laurie) and members of the Melchett family (Fry), and in Jeeves & Wooster as Bertie Wooster (Laurie) and his manservant, Jeeves (Fry). He also made occasional appearances on the British version of the improvisation show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and was the host for the comedy quiz show QI, which once featured Daniel Radcliffe as a panellist on a magic-themed episode, culminating in Radcliffe seemingly being beheaded by TV presenter Graham Norton.

Stephen played Malvolio in an all-male production of Twelfth Night, opposite Mark Rylance as Olivia. After its opening at Shakespeare's Globe in September 2012, it transferred to London's West End for a limited run.

He also is known for voicing The Narrator in the LittleBigPlanet series on the PlayStation platforms.
