The Stickfast Hex (Colloshoo)[1] was a hex that stuck the target's shoes to the ground, causing them to trip if they attempted to move.[1]
History[]
This hex was used by wizards at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry whilst duelling their opponents in the Duelling Club.[2]
At some other point, Professor Severus Snape had this hex used on him, making his shoes to stick to the floor, causing him to drop a potion bottle in the process.[3]
Etymology[]
Like Colloportus, Colloshoo is comprised of the prefix "collo-" deriving from Latin colligo meaning "to bind together" or possibly Greek κολλάω, κολλώ (collo) which means "to glue, stick". The suffix "shoo" is a misspelling of the English noun "shoe".
