- "Large, rotten fish were laid on handsome silver platters […]'"
- — Description.[src]
Stinking salmon[2] was one of the foods served at Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington's five-hundredth Deathday Party.[1] This disgusting dish was served at this party because ghosts are almost capable of being able to taste rotten food. During the party, a portly ghost wafted through a platter of stinking salmon in order to "almost" taste it, which attracted Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger's attention.[1]
