Elizabeth Smudgling, the only known Supreme Dueller
Supreme Dueller was the title awarded to the winner of a 1379 duelling competition held in Dartmoor. Elizabeth Smudgling was awarded the title, defeating her opponent with quick use of the Disarming Charm while he was attempting to get out a lengthy incantation.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- If this title is awarded to all those who are victorious in duelling competitions, other holders of the title could have included Alberta Toothill (winner of the All-England Wizarding Duelling Competition), Gilderoy Lockhart (winner of the Dunstable Duelling Championship for Wizards, although his award certificate was with all likelyhood a forgery), and possibly Godric Gryffindor (a known accomplished duellist, though whether he ever competed professionally is unclear).
- If it was not outdated by then, it is possible that Filius Flitwick bears this title in addition to the title "Duelling Champion" or that the two titles are equivalent to each other.
