The Swiftstick was a broomstick produced by Ellerby and Spudmore in 1952.[1] The new broom was faster than the company's previous effort, the Tinderblast, but it was found that the broom lost power during an ascent. Because of this, the Swiftstick was never used by any professional Quidditch teams.[2]
