A swordsman suit of armour
- "Suit of armour generally possessed by a ghoul, ghost or spectre."
- — Folio Bruti[src]
A swordsman was a medieval knight versed in the art of fighting with swords. Swordsmen could be professional fighters who fought against each other and a variety of other foes for the entertainment of spectators.[1] However, many wizards during the Middle Ages were known to be great swordsmen, such as Godric Gryffindor, who was renowned for his great skills at not only magical duelling, but also for his skills in muggle martial arts such as swordsmanship.
There were many swordsman suits of armour at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry under spectral possession. They could be aggressive to passers-by, but were particularly vulnerable to the Fire-Making and Freezing Spells.[2]
