Syrup of Asphodel was a magical solution made from the powdered root of asphodel and three drops of salt water. It could be used as an ingredient in a variety of potions, and could cure many mild afflictions. It was a product sold by L. Beardmore & Co. Apothecaries, along with Essence of Dittany, that was kept by the Magizoologist Newton Scamander in his personal stores in his suitcase.[1]
