- "I also had a few special editions printed for my dear sisters, which unfortunately contained a few misprints that led to quite a few comical mishaps! But Romilda's tail has vanished now, and we're all friends again."
- — Miranda Goshawk in the Foreword of Book of Spells[src]
This spell (incantation unknown) caused the victim to grow a tail.[1]
Known uses[]
When Miranda Goshawk had her Book of Spells printed, she gave copies to her sisters that had various misprints in them; one such misprint somehow gave her sister Romilda a tail.[1]
Timothy Blenkinsop was hit with this spell when he was caught in the crossfire of a Puddlemere United vs. Holyhead Harpies riot.[2]
At some point during the 2010–2011 school year, a Hogwarts student discovered this spell in the back of Miranda Goshawk's spell journal alongside their friends, Robyn Thistlethwaite and Kevin Farrell, and attempted to cast it. Although it initially seemed to have no effect, the three quickly realised that they had accidentally caused a nearby Slytherin girl to grow a tail. Although the student and Kevin felt guilty about accidentally giving the girl a tail, Robyn was certain that Madam Poppy Pomfrey would quickly remove the tail and asserted that her brothers had done worse to her.[3]
