Wanted posters[]
Does that fact that Amycus and Greyback have mugshots mean that they have been in Azkaban at some point? Jayce Carver Talk 14:05, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
i was thinking the same thing, Alecto Carrow also has a wanted poster in the movie but there is no mention of them being in Azkaban in the books or the films —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SuperConzo (talk • contribs).
lessons[]
What for lessons gave he the 'children' in harry Potter? Torture lessons, i know, but gave he real lessons? if so, what for lessons?--Station7 13:56, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
How to use the Dark Arts.--Rodolphus 14:00, November 22, 2009 (UTC)
A couple of days, seeing photos in the album of pictures of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I, is a sheet of Amycus fotograía Carrow, with his sister Alecto, confirming his return, because as far as I know, the link Ralph Ineson for The Deathly Hallows, his status was "rumor.
Class content[]
The article says that Amycus's subject (Dark Arts) taught which "apparently" included the teaching of Fiendfyre. Is this just extrapolated from Crabbe using that spell, because if so that its fanon and should be removed from the article; there are a variety of ways in which Crabbe could have learnt that spell in absentia of Amycus's instruction during class—Green Zubat (owl me!) 00:30, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
- It's taken from this excerpt from Deathly Hallows:
- ""Fiendfyre – cursed fire – it's one of the substances that destroy Horcruxes, but I would never, ever have dared use it, it's so dangerous – how did Crabbe know how to –"
"Must've learned from the Carrows," said Harry grimly.
"Shame he wasn't concentrating when they mentioned how to stop it, really," said Ron, whose hair, like Hermione's, was singed, and whose face was blackened. "If he hadn't tried to kill us all, I'd be quite sorry he was dead."" - — Deathly Hallows - Chapter 31

Boggart?[]
Does anyone have video from LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 that confirms that the Boggart for Amycus is in in fact Voldemort, the same default used for many of the characters in the game? Thanks --Ironyak1 (talk) 23:19, July 16, 2020 (UTC)
- Aarongoldman's argument is that "It is stated in the Deathly Hallows that Amycus is truly frightened of Voldemort and his reaction when he could not present Harry Potter", which is obviously not good enough proof of his boggart. Aaron hasn't mentioned anything about it being mentioned in the LEGO games, but yeah if there's mention there then fine. :) - MrSiriusBlack Talk 23:24, July 16, 2020 (UTC)
Boggart Fallacy[]
Yet another example of unproven and mendacious fan-fiction which is tolerated on this wiki; the blatant lie that Amycus has a Voldemort Boggart in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, despite the fact that boggarts are not even a part of the game unlike in the first one! This is absolute tripe and needs to be deleted immediately for the sake of basic intelligence, as it is deceptive fanon, unless we want to become a wiki where opinions are now more important than established facts, something which seems to be disturbingly on the rise. --RedWizard98 (talk) 02:04, July 17, 2020 (UTC)
- I will remind you to "Assume good faith, and remember that we were all new here at one time" and "Remember to accept that we are all part of the same community as we are all Harry Potter fans." as this is part of the established policies here. Editors pausing to have a conversation and consider possible sources about an article change is not contributing to "yet another example of unproven and mendacious fan-fiction which is tolerated on this wiki". As for boggarts not being part of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, thanks for the reminder! It's been nearly a decade for some since we've played the game and such details may have been forgotten. As Amycus and Alecto aren't even listed as playable characters on the LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 article it looks other such related details may have slipped past everyone as well? Please keep it civil. Thanks --Ironyak1 (talk) 02:25, July 17, 2020 (UTC)
Yes, to be fair the only Boggart as such in the game is in year 5 level 2, which is a boggart only in the form of a dementor. Not even the Boggart Banishing Spell exists in this game. Saying Amycus Carrow has a Voldemort boggart is an objective falsehood, and not it is not wrong to correct such falsehoods. However I am now glad that you have removed this untrue statement.--RedWizard98 (talk) 02:29, July 17, 2020 (UTC)
