I think Ekrizdis was one of the psychiatrists that created mental asylums in 16th century. He was exiled to this island. Dementors were created due to elixir drug abuse and harvested the world of magic. I will add also crossover theory: the dementors of magic along with all non-beings are part of disgrace of humanity, worst known civilisation of the Great Void in the epicenter of lost universe. #Giygas #Dementor

- That is an interesting theory, but isn't supported in canon. It only says that this individual was a Dark Wizard who enjoyed murdering Muggles; it says nothing about him being a psychiatrist. The origins of Dementors isn't clear either. --RedWizard98 (talk) 01:42, August 17, 2020 (UTC)
