It's stated that Snape, McGonagall, and Slughorn required a minimum 'E' grade for students wishing to proceed to their N.E.W.T. level D.A.D.A., Transfiguration, and Potions classes in 6th year (although when Snape was teaching Potions he accepted nothing less than 'O'), but is it ever stated if Flitwick and/or Sprout required 'E'-minimum for N.E.W.T.
