Kraken?[]

Just a moment. "Krake" is German for squid. Is thrr a reason for this article?--Rodolphus 12:56, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

The Kraken is a legendary sea monster usually depicted as a giant squid. Someone moved this article to Kraken, probably under the assumption that tge Giant Squid at Hogwarts must be a Kraken, since it matches the description of one. But I don't remember the Giant Squid being referred to as a Kraken anywhere in canon. ★ Starstuff ^{(Owl me!)} 13:03, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

For general interest (or in case Rodolphus or Starstuff are monitoring this discussion from 9 years ago ;) I'm deleting the redirect as there is no direct mention of a Kraken in the texts - but it is now mentioned here. Cheers --Ironyak1 (talk) 04:32, October 26, 2018 (UTC)
