Rated R?

Does anyone think it will be rated R? And if not, what?

Seeing as its a kids film, I doubt it would be an R. But as the film doesnt come out for another three years this whole conversaI LOVE Ha?RRY POTTERRRRRRRRRRtions pointless. - Vaysey Gryffindor 15:43, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

There is a possibility it will be R. At least PG 13...-Matoro183 (Talk) 19:17, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Why in the world word it be rated R? --Lupin & Kingsley 23:52, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

I agree, especially if you don't have any proof to back this claim up. -Adv193 16:23, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Matoro was just saying it was possible that it will be rated R in response to somebody else's question. He never said that it was definitively going to be rated R; it's his opinion, not a "claim" requiring proof.
While I personally doubt it will receive this rating, considering the audience for the novels, it is possible -- R ratings are typically given for violence, especially violence that includes blood. Deathly Hallows includes scenes of Harry and Ron losing teeth (Harry in the Battle over Little Whinging, Ron when he's punched by a Snatcher), which has to be bloody; Ron severely bleeds from being Splinched; Hermione gets tortured (even if they don't show it directly, as in the book, it's an extremely violent and disturbing act); Harry gets bitten by a snake after it comes out of a corpse (again, disturbing); numerous characters die... There's a lot of violence in Deathly Hallows, and I can't see the filmmakers being able to depict the Battle of Hogwarts as bloodless, even if curses tend to make deaths a little 'cleaner', as it were.
However, nobody has "proof" about the rating, seeing as the films won't be coming out for years (as Vaysey already pointed out). Oread 16:56, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Matoro I never mint to accuse you of saying that it will be rated R, sorry about that. --Lupin & Kingsley 20:27, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

I don't think the DH films will get an R rating, given that their core audience is under 18, but I do think they will be a strong PG-13. DH, as a book, is dark and violent, so bringing those elements to the screen is unavoidable if the filmmakers want to do justice to the original story. But I do think some stuff will have to be left out or toned done considerably because it is simply too intense for family movies. Two particularly gory scenes that come to mind are George's ear and Snape's death. Indirect camera angles could be used for the ear, like was done with Pettigrew's hand in the GoF film, but I think it will more likely be left out, as it is not integral to the plot. Snape's death cannot be cut, because it is integral to the plot, but they'll definitely tone it down, maybe having him die from venom instead of extreme blood loss.
At this point, though, everything about how violent the movies will be or what ratings they will receive is speculation. We'll just have to wait and see as more information comes in over the next few months. Starstuff (Owl me!) 14:01, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

No it should not be a 15 (R rating). The story of Harry Potter is for kids no matter how dark it gets. It will most likely be a 12A (PG-13) though. 13:42, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Considering we've had two Potter films get PG-13 already, and given the level of violence in the book, I would say a PG-13 is likely. There's nothing in the book that justifies an R rating (certainly nothing that resembles the silly love scene rumors kicking around). 23skidoo 03:27, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Matoro, Lupin & Kingsley, 23skiddo, Vaysed & Oread. There's really no reason to make the last movie an "R" rated film. If they do parents would never let their little kids see it. -- T.J. (talk) 15:22, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm sure it will be a 12. The last 3 have been 12s (but Half-Blood Prince was a 12A). So maybe it will be a 12A. But this talk page is for talking about improvements to the article, not ratings. TurboGolf 06:06, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

I think i will definetly be PG-13 becuase it's too voilent to be PG, and not enough to be R. If it was PG then all these 5 years olds would go with their parents and if it was R then no kids under 15 would go (mostly). User:HermioneG2000

Two Articles

When the films are closer, should this article be split in two? RaggieSoft 04:07, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

There are two films, so I definately think that the articles should be split in two at some point. --Freakatone 12:38, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

well what I dont understand is why they are spliting it into 2 movies??? --Its_A_Sammy 12:53, 23 May 2008

There's too much important information in the final book. If they cut out/alter too much, the movie loses its faithfulness to the novel. And they can't fit everything into, call it, a two and a half hour movie. --Cubs Fan2007 19:09, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

I agree with Smonocoo --Hellabore Hallows (Deathly Hallows)(contribs)
I agree that this article should be split when we have more information on how Parts I and II are going to differ (plot, cast, etc.). I think we should change the title to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (films)" for now. Starstuff (Owl me!) 14:15, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

If there is going to a huge difference in the cast between both films then I'll agree with the idea of splitting this article into two. If not then I'll that needs to be done is create 3 cast sections, one for characters that appear in both movies and the other two for those that only appear in one movie each. It also depends if there are any changes at all between the books and the movie that occur in this film because there is no telling what may happen until the release date. -Adv193 14:55, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

    • Furthermore this also reminds me of why I created an omissions section for the film version of the Goblet of Fire, because it had to do with controlling potential overflowing information since I did it to make it easier to navigate. Though from what I figure there is likely going to be enough information that is massive enough that will require the need to create 2 pages for this film to control the massive details. -Adv193 01:28, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

The cast list is reaching a ridiculous size if we continue like this. Only the main cast (the cast that is always on the posters and promo's and dvd's) should be noted like this. The rest of them should be in the text down below. That would mean that aside from the trio the following actors would be on the list (alphabetical order): Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Brendon Gleeson, Richard Griffiths, John Hurt, Jason Isaacs, Alan Rickman, Fiona Shaw, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis, Julie Walters and Mark Williams. 16 names, the rest in the article section. If you agree, I'm willing to change it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs).

  • At the moment I have to disagree with you, as we are still early on into the filming I feel the cast list is an important link as to which characters are being included in the films. As time goes by and the article is split for the two films, that may be the time to edit it.--Darth Jadious 15:06, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

He is cast, I believe! I only don't who is gonna play him. Tim Lemmens 8:18, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Could we please come to an agreement as to whether he will be in the film. He's been on and off constantly over the past year. There is a source on the article saying that Alex Crockford will reprise his role: [1], but I don't feel it's a good enough reference.
Also, the article says that George Harris will reprise his role as Kingsley Shacklebolt with this source: [2]. I also don't think this is reliable enough.
What does everyone else think?
Joeworthy 11:14, June 26, 2010 (UTC)
Seeing how almost every named character has been confirmed to be in the movie, it would be very odd if Charlie Weasley were not in the movie. The same goes for Kingsley Shacklebolt. I say we leave them be, and in the very off chance that they are not in the movie (which will lead to many fans being very disappointed), we will then remove them. Clearly, not everyone who is in the movie likes to state that they are. We have seen this as these people have not stated they are in the movie. Yet we have lots of extras and small unnamed roles confirmed. Unfortunatly, the only way everyone will ultimately be confirmed will be when we can actually see the movies, in November 2010 and July 2011.
CoolDudeAl 23:13, June 26, 2010 (UTC)
Furthermore, as far as the soruce's reliablity, I would say they are at least as reliable as Ariana Dumbledore or The Grey Lady. One which uses the word "rumor", and the other which is on a blog, although appearently the person is trustworthy.
CoolDudeAl 23:36, June 26, 2010 (UTC)
The source that is given for Charlie Weasley in Part 2 is only the source for Part 1. When you look in the source for Part 2 then you won't find Charlie. So it is not sure that he is also in Part 2.Harry granger 20:01, July 4, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, but many of the actors and actresses have not stated whether or not they will be in the first half, the second half, or both halves. So the best bet is to use the book, and Charlie, along with the rest of his family, is present in the Battle of Hogwarts, which, of course, takes place in Part 2 of the films.

Cast List

The cast list is starting to look a little speculated, some of the listed actors/actresses I'm unsure of. This current list claims that Tiana Benjamin is returning for her role of Angelina Johnson, however a few months back in an EastEnders Q&A's I asked this question;

"Will you be returning for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?"

and she replied

"I don't think so, for the moment I am very happily staying on EastEnders - for as long as they will have me! I don't know much about the film other than it's been split into two parts. I did have an amazing time on the film and doing the video game and it's something that I'll always be proud to have been part of, but being in EastEnders is a childhood dream for me."

But this list confirms her as returning without any source etc; Is there any source that states her return? Also the same for Lee Jordan's actor returning too, the last I heard he was studying to become a fashion designer and didn't return as he was on a Sky TV show or something.

I also noticed that it states that Alex Crockford will be returning as Charlie Weasley. I don't believe this has been confirmed. -Smonocco 23:17, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Just checked I.M.Db. and apparently he will be returning but i've noticed that, according to the article several other actors will be returning, however no sources are provided. -Smonocco 14:19, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

Why is Bem on the cast list? Bem is only in the third, possibly fourth fifth and sixth. Bem is not in this! (JanzPotter (talk) 14:50, July 17, 2014 (UTC))

Grawp "recasting"???

I removed the following statement from the casting section: Recasting for Rubeus Hagrid's giant half-brother Grawp has yet to be announced. I'm not sure if it's just a case of somebody trying to be thorough, but Grawp was a CGI creation in the last movie, so there is no recasting to be done, unless I missed something that indicates Grawp will be played by a flesh-and-blood actor in DH. 23skidoo 15:27, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Well, Grawp's movements and look was based and filmed with actor Tony Maudsley. You can kind of say that he played Grawp in Order of the Phoenix. Lilleby
I agree, and think the statement should be reposted in the article. FelixFreak 16:17, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

The name of the article.

I am seriously concerned about the name of this article. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is ONE film in TWO parts. IT IS NOT TWO SEPERATE FILMS. The name should be changed to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Film). David Heyman said that the Deathly Hallows is ONE film, NOT two. See

I request that this page is renamed to the said name above, as there is evidence to show that it's 1 film. Thank You Lee7003 12:22, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

It's one story, but it's still two films, one to be released in 2010 and the other in 2011[3]. It's not much different from the Back to the Future trilogy or The Lord of the Rings trilogy. - Nick O'Demus 13:16, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
Your comparison is faulty. Back to the Future is a trilogy, as it is three self-contained but connected seperate works. But The Lord of the Rings is not a trilogy, but one single book with a single self-contained story, which the original publisher insisted on splitting into three volumes because of costs. -a Tolkiendil 14:47, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

It's going to be two films so it requires two articles. We know now where the films are to be split, so I propose that we start to think about breaking up the article. Jayden Matthews 14:12, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

Two Articles?

Does anyone know if this will be split into two different articles when the movies get closer to their release? Jack5555 16:32, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

  • The point has been raised above. They probably will split the article, but for now they shouldn't because there are still aspects that we don't know about the way the films will be divided. For example, I find it hard to imagine that Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, and some of the other big names won't appear in some way in the first film. I re-read DH this past weekend and I could see circumstances where they could insert Hogwarts scenes into the first half of the story. On the other hand it's possible that characters appearing in the first part of the story in the books - say, Tonks for example - might only appear in Part 2 of the movie. What I'm saying is until we get confirmation as to what's been added, what's been shifted around, etc., it should probably stay one article for now, at least until the first movie is released. 23skidoo 14:45, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

"Because she is an American"

I deleted the following statement regarding the question as to whether Eleanor Columbus is returning as Susan Bones: "who is very unlikely to reappear as she is an American". What is this garbage? No source, just a statement saying an actress isn't likely to appear because she has the wrong passport. Give me a break. Where's the source for this? Now if you were to say she wasn't likely to appear because her dad isn't directing the thing, that would be fine. 23skidoo 14:40, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

For all the previous movies all speaking roles had to be played by British actors per JKR's request. --JKochRavenclawcrest(Owl Me!) 15:02, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

Lots Of Unconfirmed Cast Members

I've noticed there are quite a few actors on the cast list here that have been unconfirmed to return to the film and with no references to back them up:

Also, the citation for Richard Cubison as Antonin Dolohov doesn't actually mention him.

I know it has been confirmed somewhere that Pete Perry will play Dedalus Diggle and Louise Walpole will play Hestia Jones, but I think we need to find a reference because I can't find one.

Hopefully, we will be able to find citations, but if no-one can, I think these will have to be deleted from this page.

Cast List

Can an admin please rule on if the cast list should be how Jayce wants it, or as it was prior to this? Thank you in advance.

CoolDudeAl 20:39, May 14, 2010 (UTC)

The cast list, as it stands, is full of misinformation and speculation. The descriptions of each character, for example, are completely and utterly useless, not to mention riddled with bias and personal opinion. If someone comes to this site looking for information on the characters then they can find it in the respective articles. The "TBA" is massively speculative. We don't even know if all the characters from the book are going to be in the film, and we certainately should'nt be listing them in the cast. Having a section of the cast dedicated to actors who have appeared in preivious Harry Potter films and who may or may not appear in this one is likewise, redundent, and speculative. The cast list should therfore stay as it is, as per my last edit. –K.A.JTCE 07:09, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

Well, at least I got a well thought out response. I wouldn't say it was full of "misinformation and speculation", that seems a bit strong. The TBA section never say that all those characters were defiantly appearing in the film. In fact it said almost the opposite. My only other point would be that no one has had a problem with these things on the page for several months. I don't understand why now it would be a problem. And I can guarantee you that some of those characters listed (at the least the epilogue children), will be in the movie. But whatever pleases you and Jayce I suppose will have to stand for now.

CoolDudeAl 17:10, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

Wiki's are always works in progress. There are a great many things that need to be changed, and they don't always get done straight away. That doesn't mean we shouldn't bother, or that we should just accept substandard articles as they are. The key principle of wiki editing is verification. If an encyclopedia cannot verify it's contents then it has no credibility. That's why the cast list must only contain actors who have been confirmed to be appearing in the film. Thank you for understanding. –K.A.JTCE 17:36, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

I hadn't seen this discussion, but I think its really strange how they've had an actress play a professor for three films, but now she's going to be a muggle and then a death eater. All sounds a bit strange to me. Natalie Hallam's wikipedia page even says that she will be appearing in both of the Deathly Hallows films.
Does anyone here have myspace (unfortunately I don't) because we would be able to send her a message and ask her which of this information is correct and which is just speculative. Her page is here:

If anyone writes to her, we can ask her if she portrays Sinistra, Vector or someone else.--Rodolphus 17:43, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

It isn't really that surprising. Obviously the film makers like her, as they keep using her. In the last three films, they needed more professors, so they had her play one. In Deathly Hallows Part 1, they needed more muggles, probably when Harry, Ron, and Hermione are running away after the wedding, so they cast her as one. In Deathly Hallows Part 2, they needed more Death Eaters, for the battle of Hogwarts, so they cast her as one. It's not like her role as a professor has been that promenent in the last three films, nor do we even no which teacher she is supposted to be, so I don't think they saw it as that big of a deal. I noticed that in the trailer posted on this site, Voldemort appears alone in the scene where Harry is "killed". In the book, his deatheaters are with him. Should this be posted on the "Differences from the book" page, or is it too unimportant? FelixFreak 16:11, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

If you look carefully in that scene, you will see that the death eaters are behing Voldemort. They are blurry and hard to see, but they are there.Icecreamdif 18:26, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

I'm considering that very many players are on both sides, but instead of putting so many ridiculous characters, should return: - Angelina Johnson - Colin Creevey - Hannah Abbott - Grawp

Qusiera also ask:

- Anybody Jesse Hart would confirm me? Since in the IMDb cast erased. - Who interpreted to Amycus Carrow? I'm not sure whether Ralph Ineson

Malham Cove

Just found out that Malham Cove in England is a location for the Deathly Hallows film. Could someone find out what was being filmed there and add it to the article please.

fred weasley

We will all miss fred weasley!:(

May my dear Fred Weasley rest in peace. :( When I first started reading the Harry Potter books, I developed HUGE crushes on both Fred and George. (Pathetic, I know.) So when I got to the part in the Deathly Hallows where Fred dies, I put the book down, and just stared at the ceiling for an eternity, whispering "No no no no no no..." over and over again. When I finally finished the book, I was depressed for forever. (I'm starting to get depressed again. Excuse me while I curl up into a corner and cry my eyes out.) :,( I.Heart.Fred.And.George 19:05, January 2, 2011 (UTC)

Part 2 trailer

I'm terribly sorry if this isn't meant to be asked here, but I'm curious about something(if it has been revealed yet). Does anyone know when the "HP7 Part 2" trailer will be released? User:CJSFanBlack Pearl,HMS Interceptor,Queen Anne's Revenge 03:37, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Where does the image of the title scene come from? It looks cool, but I wonder if it's real. --PerryPeverell - (talk) - (contributions) 21:29, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

No, they'll be removed. Thank you for researching this. - Nick O'Demus 23:04, March 22, 2011 (UTC)

New pictures?

I Found this pic ..I have not seen it before .. Have you seen this before? Is it a new Pic?

That's not official. Its cool, but I've seen it before. There was also a really cool one for Part 1 with Harry, Ron, and Hermione on it and the Deathly Hallows symbol is framed around them. Gryffindor1991 16:57, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

-That is not official. It's just a really well-done poster made by artist "theyoungtook" at Deviantart: 22:08, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

Countdown is wrong.

I assume the countdown on the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Film page is counting down to July 15 (Correct me if I am am wrong) It currently states 114 Days as of Tuesday April 5th there are 100 Days until July 15th.

It's 94 days until it comes out as of today, the 12th of April.

If an actor films scenes in a movie but they are cut do they still go in the cast list? Toby Regbo wasn't in the movie, nor was Jamie Campbell Bower or Sean Biggerstaff.

Wherefrom will you know that they are not in the film? I think it was not the whole film only a part which was shown to a group of people, so it may be they are in. Harry granger 18:51, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

I was at the advanced screening. Some special effects were missing but the whole film was shown. There was no mention of Dumbledore's past, and no scenes involving Toby Regbo or JCB.

That's interesting and very sad. I hoped after they made two films that there were more scenes retained. But I fear there are many fine scenes in the book they don't put in the film. Sad but true. Harry granger 20:18, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

It was probably the most faithfull out of all the films. They already messed Dumbledore's past up in Part 1, so it wouldn't have made much sense to include it in Part 2. 20:30, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

I had read that Aberforth would tell his family story to the trio as he does in the book. That would make sense, but it seems they did'nt put it in. Harry granger 20:38, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

He explains about Ariana but nothing else.

Differences from the books

Whoa, is this stuff really true? Lavender and Scabior get killed off? Voldy goes after Ron and Hermione with a tsunami in the Chamber of Secrets? Harry snaps the Elder Wand in two? Bellatrix literally gets torn apart by Mrs. Weasley and Voldy crumbles to dust like Quirrell? Looking forward to the movie if it is (that is even more than I was for the previous ten years). And coming from someone who's seen Saw, but those hypocrites cut Wormtail's death cause "suicide would be too graphic", yet they make Snape's death scene gorier than in the book? Really? Voldy actually slashes his throat open with the Elder Wand? (though I suppose that'll have roughly the same amount of graphics as Sectumsempra) Ghostkaiba297 02:21, April 8, 2011 (UTC)

And one more thing: It listed Wormtail (Peter Pettigrew) and Scorpius in the cast, but it also listed them under omitted characters. Which is true? Ghostkaiba297 02:22, April 8, 2011 (UTC)

there is actually 97 days till the 15th of july

The movie was test screened a few days ago for a select audience. Everything mentioned above is true. Voldemort doesn't go after Ron and Hermione specifically. He attacks the castle from a distance with a powerfull spell which causes the Chamber of Secrets to flood. Although the actors playing Wormtail and Scorpius Malfoy may have filmed their scenes they weren't in the movie.

In that case, I heard someone say Wormtail was thrown out a window by Voldemort. If he doesn't appear in the movie, then either a.) this was mentioned in the film or b.) it doesn't happen at all. If that part is true, can you put it under "Differences from the books", and if not, can you say so in reply to this? Ghostkaiba297 03:24, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

I wonder wherefrom you will know that Buckbeak, the centaurs and the houseelves are not in the film and that Nagini is not in a protective sphere. When I remember right, it was said that in this testscreening the special effects are not in yet. But all the above mentioned are CGI. So can you be sure? Harry granger 18:05, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Until July 15, this is all speculation and shouldn't be included in our articles for potentially true or false spoiler reasons. The Knights Who Say Ni 05:21, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
I agree with Knights on this subject. It has been posted on here that Harry's wand was thrown away in HP7 Part 1, but if you remember, Ron had given Harry that Snatcher's wand, the Blackthorn. The Blackthorn wand was more than likely the wand that was thrown away, and Harry will still be able to repair his original wand by using the Elder Wand. Whether or not he then proceeds to break the Elder Wand in two will remain to be seen. I don't believe that they would have allowed Greyback to throw away Harry's original wand so unceramoniously. They would have done a close up of the broken wand laying in the grass, and of Harry's reaction to loosing his real wand. Balladore 16:50, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

Countdown to Part 2?

Hey guys! I'm a little confused about something. On this page, it states that there are 103 days till Part 2. But i just checked a calendar website and it said that from this day(April 14, 2011) there are 92 days till July 15, 2011. Alecto and Amycus Carrow?

What role have they got in the film?? have they the same scenes that in the film?

Does Madam Pomfrey fought in the Battle?

please, if it is possible. answer me. thanks very much.

Differences from the book

In the differences from the book section, it states that the statues of knights come to life and fight for the school. I can't understand why this is a difference when I clearly remember Professor McGonagall bewitching them to life to fight. "Hogwarts is threatened!" she screams. It was right after her duel with Snape. Can anybody clear this up for me please, because even other sites are stating that it was put in for the movie! Help me please!Drummerwiz92 14:36, April 17, 2011 (UTC)

The Final Battle

PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER!!! Most questions will probably be able to be answered if someone watched the test screening of HP Deathly Hallows Part 2

-Does anyone know if there will be the many creatures (giants, acromantulas, etc.) in the final battle or will it just consist of wizards and witches? I know there will be dementors, but any other creatures?

(Maybe no one really knows because the test screening was not done with all of teh effects, but maybe there were scenes that hinted that there will be a large amount of creatures)

-Do the carrows even have at least any lines in the movie? IT sounds like they're not even included in any of the scenes?

-I thought that Fred's death scene (along with Tonks and Remus) will not be shown in the movie, but they will only be shown dead in the hospital after the trio return from witnessing Snape's death. Can someone please clarify!

it is not shown, they do not show percy and fred fighting side by side.

-This question will probably have no answer, but why did the producers even replace Colin Creevey with a new character (Nigel) when they could use the actor who plays Nigel as a new Colin Creevey? I find it senseless.(sigh)

-Will they add the broom scene (Saving Malfoy in the Room of Requirement) in the movie or will the trio just... save them through another way?

yes it was in the film.

-Did anyone see the diadem and how it looked like?

The picture of the diadem you can see on Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem. It is also to be seen in one of the trailers.

-Will Lavender Brown be killed gruesomely like in the book by Fenrir Greyback? Apparently in the book she is attacked by fully transformed werewolf Greyback and he mawls her until he gets blown away by Hermione and Lavender is left twitching and lifeless.

-Was the forcefield that disintegrated the Death Eaters part of the book too or was it something that was added for show?

-Is there the scene in the Great Hall where the Slytherin house wanted (especially Pansy Parkinson) to take Harry and give him to Voldemort?

-Do they show the scene where Hermione and Ron actually stab the cup?

 yes they do

It sounds pretty disappointing when I hear the MANY points about the differences in the movie compared to the book. I just hope that this LAST movie will be the MOST FAITHFUL EVER. (crossing fingers) :(

there are differences but it is the most faithful to the book.

I wasn't there but I've read many reports.

- Giants and Acromantulas are in, no house elves, thankfully.

but i love the house elves]:. But they didn't have them in the other films so it is understandable for them not to be in this one.

- No don't think so

- Freds death isn't seen, along with Lupin and Tonks. HOWEVER, there is a scene in the battle where Fred is cornered and disarmed, leaving the audience to wonder what will happen next, until his dead body is seen in the great hall. Lupin and Tonks are also seen dead there. - Although, in the book they say that Fred was laughing at his last joke when he died. 23:25, January 14, 2012 (UTC)HarryPotterFan#1216.175.78.239 23:25, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

- I think because it would have hurt continuity

- Yep, its in

-There are pictures of it on this wiki. Just search diadem horocrux.

-Yep, Lavender is mauled and then seen lifeless, but there is no dialouge saying she's dead.

-Hermione shot Fenrir off Lavender's body; then she ran away. She's alive all right. 23:25, January 14, 2012 (UTC)HarryPotterFan#1216.175.78.239 23:25, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

-- Nope, wasn't in the book, but sounds awesome anyway.

-Yep! The kiss takes place in that scene also.

This movie will rock!!!~~The 3 brothers~~

Difference with the book

If it's true that we don't see Fred's death, it's awful and extremely dispointing!!! I hope they will change idea and show it!! I really don't understand why they change the way of dying of Fred! That's really dispointing! 00:25, April 26, 2011 (UTC)Anne-Maire

They're probably doing this to avoid an R rating from the MPAA, as their goal is a solid PG-13. FirePuppy 19:02, May 9, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for answer me! :) But I think it's awful if they did that! Fred's dead taking a large part in the book, Harry feels like the world is ending. So it's gonna be really disapointing if they cut Fred's dead. :(

New Pictures

I found new pictures posted up by snitchseeker and there are a total of 65! All of the pictures are really epic with new looks at Aberforth, Gringotts Bank Heist, (a lot of) the Battle of Hogwarts, Chamber of Secrets, and much more!!! :D ENJOY!!!!

Ravenclaw Tower

If anyone was at the test screening, does Harry go to Ravenclaw Tower? I read he goes there alone without Luna, and the Carrows aren't there. Gryffindor1991 19:04, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

Flashback children

In this section is to be read: Robert Javis as young James Potter. Who is Robert Javis? I only know Robert Jarvis as 15 year old James Potter. The source leads to Rohan Gotobed, who plays the "flashback teen" Sirius Black. There is nothing to read about Robert Javis or James Potter. I think that this is a mistake. Harry granger 15:52, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Voldemort dies like Quirrell

If Lord Voldemort dies in Deathly Hallows: Part 2 like Quirinus Quirrell did in Philosopher's Stone, crumbling, why does a picture show Voldemort lying on the ground in the Entrance Courtyard.

Voldermort doesn't die like Quirrell. Where did you see that? He dies since his Killing Curse rebounded. Head.Boy.Hog (Talk To Me) 21:41, May 15, 2011 (UTC)
On the Wiki page for Part 2, under the Differences from the Book section, it states that that Voldemort will crumbles to ash after being struck with his killing curse, similar to Quirrel. This may just be part of the test screening and not be used in the actual movie, but we'll just have to see. Personally, I don't like the idea, because it sounds childish to me for some reason. But I'll still greatly enjoy the movie either way!Drummerwiz92 17:04, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
he does crumble to ash in the film when hit with the killing curse
If the test screening is not official, does it have a chance that they will not cut Fred's dead scene? I hope so, I hope that's gonna be like in the book! His dead took a large part in the book! 02:12, May 24, 2011 (UTC)By Anne-Marie

If the film ever gets an "R" rating (which could be likely), maybe we should send Howlers to the MPAA, the same kind that Ron's mom sent to him. What do you think? FirePuppy 00:52, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

It will probably be PG-13, but it could probably be a better movie if it was rated R. Remember in Part 1 when they cut out Wormtail's hand killing him so that they could keep the PG-13 rating? If you are under 17, you can get in to an R movie if you have someone over 21 with you anyway.Icecreamdif 17:14, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

Well my parents don't give a damn about violence and they buy me the tickets anyway because they know that sooner or later I will watch it when it comes out on DVD AND they think Harry Potter is childish so they will probably ignore the R part. Yay me! German eagle logo  Firefox1095  German eagle logo 23:15, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

Will Harry use the elder wand to mend his broken wand in the movie? I know for a fact that in the book Harry mends it with the elder wand?

I need answers!!!! Thank you.

Shocking news -- the film is 99% likely going to get an R rating for gruesome violence, disturbing images, and nudity. And to make matters worse, restricted ratings are spreading across more of the global world. Anyways, can anyone help me send a Howler to the MPAA, please? FirePuppy 16:39, June 1, 2011 (UTC)

Have the MPAA stated that they are likely to rate it R, or are you just speculating this based on the book. I heard that they were cutting the nudity out of the limbo scene, and they usually try to avoid making the violence so gruesome and disturbing that it is rated R. In the last movie, they cut out the scene where Wormtail strangles himself, just to bring the rating down to PG13. It probably won't be rated R, and even if it is, it isn't a big deal. If you're over 17, you won't have a problem getting in, and if you're under 17, just bring a parent or other adult with you. Also, I hate to break it to you, but howlers aren't real. This is due to the fact that magic doesn't exist. Even if they were real, you might get into legal difficulties with sending exploding mail, and I doubt that the MPAA will change a film's rating based on a threatening letter.Icecreamdif 02:26, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

Well, I am about 5-6 months away from my 21st birthday, but even when I'm over 21, they're still gonna ask me for my identification. FirePuppy 19:49, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

Then just show them your identification. Are you just assuming that it is going to be R based on the book, or has the MPAA indicated that it may be R. Since the movie is targeted at least partially at children, the movie will almost certainly go for a PG-13 rating.Icecreamdif 21:59, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

Ooh, now it looks like this film is the earliest to still be not yet rated, and the movie's due in like, 5 weeks! The other two films scheduled for release on July 15 already have MPAA ratings, but this film still does not. What's happening? FirePuppy 10:11, June 11, 2011 (UTC)

Cast list

What actually is the use of naming all the extras in the cast list? I would suggest removing all of them, to maintain those who play identified and named characters. And on a side note, why are wedding guests and ministry workers even on the list?..given the fact that they're only in part 1 anyway.

what do you think the deathly hallows is going to be like?

Well....suggestions? I think its going to be AWESOME! Speedysnitch 13:36, June 6, 2011 (UTC)

Changes in Differences from the book

In the recent TV Spot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 shows us that when harry arrives at hogwarts and enter the great hall to encounter Snape he is with the Order of the Phoneix.

...I went too far

This is a follow-up to the topic "Maybe..."

It appears I went too far, as the movie finally gets a PG-13 rating for the same reason Part 1 also did. Forgive me for all of what I said. FirePuppy 17:10, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

Did you honestly think they would give a Harry Potter film a R rating? That is very dumb to be honest. There are so many kids that like it and if it was R they couldn't get in to see it. They would be upset. They take that sort of thing into consideration. Thats why they cut the "Saw-like scene" from Part 1 to avoid that kind of rating. There really isn't a reason for it to be considered for R. Theres nothing R worthy in it in my opinion and I'm 19 and I've never seen an R rated movie in my life. Gryffindor1991 18:40, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

I told you it wouldn't be rated R. I still think that they should have let part 1 be rated R if it meant that they could keep Wormtail's death in it, but they don't want to lose their child audience.Icecreamdif 00:41, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Running time

I'm sorry for asking, but how is it we know what the running time is? --75px-CJSFan_Sig.pngBlack Pearl, HMS Interceptor, Queen Anne's Revenge 02:39, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

It was confirmed by the British Board of Film Classification. And, when I first heard that it would be the shortest Potter movie, I was a more than a little disappointed. But, the people who saw the test screening say that it was a very satisfying length, and it didn't feel too short in any way. Take into consideration that Part 1 covered roughly 500 pages of the book, so there's only about 300 pages left. Not alot to put into a movie. Im super stoked!!!! Hope that helped. Drummerwiz92 03:36, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you so much! I'm glad to know that this one has a considerable length. I knew that it was going to be at least 2 hours(as it was said by one of the producers), but 2 hours 10 min is great(including credits, I believe). To me, it's the same as with the new POTC film...just as long as it's at least 2 hours, I'm ok. Because with films like this, I can't stand it being shorter than that. 75px-CJSFan_Sig.pngBlack Pearl, HMS Interceptor, Queen Anne's Revenge 03:59, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

The disintigrating shiled spell in the movie may be the unspecified spell created by Flitwick. He says: "Protego Horribilis" This may be that spell. So technically that won't be a difference in the book.

Parvati Patil?

hey, I just want to ask. is parvati patil in this film? i mean, her role as trelawney aid was given to padma patil. is she in the sceening test? and i don't remember seeing her on the part 1 either. *sorry, if theres any mistakes on my writing*

- Parvati will not be in the film I've seen every possible scene and clip from the trailers and the GRAND STAIRCASE seem to have changed. Cna someone tell me the new architectual design? PLEASE?! I don't get it at all. I am guessing that once you go through the Entrance Hall the large steps to the right seem to have turned into a large hallway filled with huge staircases that then lead to this three way stairs. One going down straight ahead, then two on each side of the one going down but instead the two are going up (I saw this in a featurette or something where the students are marching in while Alecto watches them go downstairs) Does this mean that the Grand Staircases have COMPLETELY CHANGED?! I would be so mad if they don't look similar to the orginal. Being an EXTREME HARRY POTTER FAN I need the STAIRS! I will now cry in a corner. :( But can some one please reply and tell tme the new design or something worth while? PLEASE?

OOOPS! Forgot to put a headline title----REPOSTING! :D

There seem to be a lot of new places in Hogwarts. The staircases have indeed been redone, partially.

Oliver Wood

Oliver Wood cut from the film? Since it does not appear in the actors on the sites of cinema in the film the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Even on IMDB it in the actors do not.

It seems unlikely that he won't appear since we saw him in the trailers.....but that's no guarantee. Perhaps a really small or uncredited role.

It is btw clear the Shefali Chowdhury will not be in this one as Parvati Patil...she hasn't appeared in any photo, preview, clip, trailer, interview, cast list or whatsoever.

Oliver Wood IS IN THE FILM, only for a short moment, during the first big fight (before Voldemort gets involved) he leads a broomstick assault like we see in the trailer.Mattpartridge24 15:57, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

Release date

In the box to the left under release date it says 13 july (australia) but here in denmark it is also that date. Maybe we should write all the countries that has the release the 13? Or write no countries at all? Taurentius 20:34, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

2-D showings

I added a bit to the intro mentioning that the film is being widely released in 2-D. Although this may appear obvious, it isn't. Many people - and I will include myself amomg them - had actually assumed that we would probably not see the film in theatres due to it "only" being released in 3-D, per some previous forum postings and reports. Not everyone enjoys 3-D, and I'll leave it at that. However, in truth, it is expected approximately half of theatres carrying DH2 will run it in standard 2-D. (As I don't have a firm number and source, that isn't info that can go into the article unless someone publishes firm stats). So by adding that one sentence about the 2-D it may serve to put some folk's minds at ease and get them in line to see the thing this weekend or later. I know I wasn't going to be seeing it until the film listings for my city of 1 million people for the week were published and I found more screens showing 2-D than 3-D. I haven't taken this for granted because last year there were several movies - Resident Evil, Toy Story and a couple others - that I could not go see because only the 3-D versions were being shown and I had to wait till the Blu-rays. I'm glad I won't have to wait with DH2. 23skidoo 04:55, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

Movies are never in just 3D. That would make them lose money since not everyone likes it. I don't know why you would assume that. Deathly Hallows is in 2D. I'm seeing it in 2D on Friday Gryffindor1991 05:01, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

I've seen the movie

Ok, I've seen the movie and I've tried to remember everything about every character. First off, I'd like to confirm that Oliver Wood is in the movie, but the 'come on' bit is all we see of him. Augusta Longbottom, Charlie Weasley, Parvati, Dolohov, Rowle, Yaxley and Elphias Doge do NOT appear in the movie. Neither does Teddy Lupin, as was confirmed.

About death scenes: Fred nor Tonks nor Lupin get a death scene, nor the events that lead up to it. The Weasley twin stunned in the trailer turned out to be George. The scene where everyone gathers and sees who is dead is really moving. Lupin and Tonks are not so peaceful looking..rather bloody actually. Bellatrix and Voldemort both disintegrate, although not the same way. With Voldemort it's really appropriate. Bellatrix does not disintegrate at the power of the killing curse, rather at a spell after the killing curse. Lavender Brown's death is also seen, rather gruesomely with a lot of blood. During the mournful pause, we see Trelawney and Padma mourn the loss. Nigel's death was cut from the movie. Pius Thicknesse is killed by Voldemort after he realises the diadem is destroyed, Griphook is killed after he realises Harry hunts Horcruxes. Bogrod dies too, he's burned away by the huge dragon.

When it comes to the role of the actors, really expect this to be Harry, Ron, Hermione and Voldemort's film. McGonagall, Snape and Neville have the biggest roles of the supporting cast. All the Hogwarts teachers have some lines before, in the break and after the battle, even Trelawney and Sprout. Kingsley and Remus both have a few lines before the battle, but that's it. Tonks appears for a total of 10 seconds of screentime, without any lines. Molly Weasley has only 2 lines in the film, the first being a protective enchantment, the second her famous line. Arthur has no lines at all, similar to Percy, who's return is very briefly seen. Bill and Fleur have some lines in Shell Cottage, not in Hogwarts. Aberforth does not explain the full story of Ariana, but does explain a bit about it. Lucius has one lenghty dialogue with Voldemort in the boathoase. Narcissa, contrary to reported, does ask harry if Draco's alive. Hagrid first appears in the forest, captured. Later he's seen dragging Harry back, on after the battle he hugs him. During the battle itself, we mostly see the Trio fighting, joined by lots of unrecognisable students, death eaters and teachers. The only identifyable characters fighting during the battle are Arthur, Kingsley, Aberforth, Neville, Molly and George.

The epilogue is brilliant. The track a New Beginning applied to the scene just after the battle as they stand on the remains of the bridge. During the epilogue we hear the complete.....YES we hear it....Leaving Hogwarts!!!!

any questions? ask!

So Molly says "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH?" the full line!? YES!! Do we see Ravenclaw Tower at all (this is important to me for some reason). I know the Carrows arent there if we do see it. I think thats about all. :) Gryffindor1991 04:54, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

- Molly does say the full line indeed. We see Harry on his way to Ravenclaw tower...but Luna stops him and says he should go speak to Rowena they do NOT visit the tower..

fighting during the battle and Sprout, McGonagall?

We see quite some fighting scenes but few identifyable faces. There is about 5 minutes of battle scenes I'd say. Sprout is featured when Snape escapes, as she is seen pointing her wand ast him. She is later seen in the "dead-break" talking to a student ("what's up with you"), then she's seen when Harry is dragged by Hagrid during Voldemort's speech..and then she's seen after the battle. McGonagall is featured prominently throughout the film. To much to recall.

How is Apparation on the Hogwarts territory explained? --Will-O-Wisp 14:22, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

This is not explained, but I assume it is because the protection has been broken.

Cho Chang

Are there any scene of cho in deathly hallows part 2? Because I couldn.t find her in trailer, new poster etc 10:05, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

She's in the scene when Harry, Hermione, and Ron arrive at Hogwarts to find Dumbledore's Army camped out. She has a couple of lines where she explains about Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem. Starstuff (Owl me!) 10:26, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

I just found out the new clip regarding recruiting da meeting scene where harry hugs dean, seamus, lavender, cho. How come Harry huged cho? I know Cho Chang betrayed Dumbledore Army in OOTP film, then da member excluding cho had detention with Umbridge, then Harry got mad at cho. Or Harry forgave Cho after Harry learned that ot was not Cho's fault? It confuses me a lot. 10:37, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

Ravenclaw Tower

Today, I just heard that harry and luna do not go to ravenclaw tower. Is it true? Or is Ravenclaw Tower one of the deleted scene in today's last hp movie? 10:32, July 15, 2011 (UTC) p.s Ravenclaw Tower scene is important in this one in my opinion.

They DO NOT go to the Ravenclaw Tower, Harry intends to go there as a starting point to start looking for the Diadem, but on the way Luna stops him and tell him about the "No one alive knows where is it" thing, and then he goes and finds Helena Ravenclaw Mattpartridge24 15:54, July 15, 2011 (UTC).

In the movie, harry, ginny, ron, hermione, luna, neville did not wear the school uniform while others wear school uniform. Right? 10:33, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

Correct, but by the end all their uniform is pretty dishevelled. Mattpartridge24 15:55, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

Parvati Patil???

Was she in this movie? I think she was but I always only saw one of the Patil twins at any given moment. Should her actress be put down on the cast list?

- Not in the movie. Watched for it..she's not in unfortunately...

Big text

Can anyone fix the big text please? I think the problem is the "It all end here!" line which lacks an ending for the code that made it big. I'm not sure what it is, though. Thanks, Glimmer721 14:46, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry everyone, spent ages perfecting the plot section but the site went weird so i had to undo it all, i'll try again later.

DVD when is it coming?

after reading the wikia about DH part 2, I'm not handing out 80 bucks to watch a hacked up movie, if these last 3 movies where true to the books they must have had some other book.

I'll just wait for the dvd.

Young James Potter

As I wrote on the talk page of Part 1: Hi, I found an actor who plays young James Potter. But he can't be the eleven year old pupil. His playing age is 24 years. So I give the information here. It is Lexx James. The source is: Harry granger 18:03, October 5, 2010

The playing age is now mentioned on the site with 21 years, but I nevertheless think, he can't be the 11 year old James Potter I. in the Pensieve scene. He also can't be the adult when Harry uses the Resurrection stone, because Adrian Rawlins returned to Part 2 and was seen to play James Potter in the Resurrection stone scene.

So I think it is a mistake to say, that Lexx James plays the 11 year old James Potter I. What do you think? Harry granger 19:29, July 16, 2011 (UTC)

Do we see Profs Sprout, Trelawney or Narcissa Malfoy duelling anyone? Or at least do any magic

Id really appreciate an answer Does Amycus or Alecto Carrow have any lines in the film?

No, neither of them have any lines. ParryHotterHero 15:36, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

Do we see Sprout, Trelawney or Narcissa duelling anyone, or at least do magic?

I don't believe Amycus or Alecto have any lines in the film. You can hear them make a sound when Professor

Trelawney during battle

McGonagall hits them with spells while dueling with snape. I doubt there are any scenes that Narcissa is fighting in because I don't believe she participated in the battle in the book. Plus in the movie she doesn't look hurt or dirty at all so I don't think she fought in the battle. I'm sure there is a scene where you can see Professor Sprout fighting the the background but during the scene where the trio are running through the enterance courtyard on the way to the boathouse: right before the find lavender dead you can see hermione run right past the back of trelawney who casts a crucio spell at a death eater. Bellatrix's death

Molly didn't use the Killing Curse on Bellatrix. It seemed to me as if Bellatrix was petrified first, then Molly disintegrated her. -- 12:32, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

I have to agree with this; when Molly started her retaliation, it looked like the Killing Curse with the green light, but it was definitely a blue light that came out of her wand and hit Bellatrix before she finished her off with the Reductor Curse. The Killing Curse remained consistent throughout the movies with instant death, but Bellatrix looked like she remained alive briefly as the spell took its effect before fully petrifying her. Wrong Trelawney prediction in Pensieve scene?

The snippet of the Trelawney prediction in the Pensieve scene struck me as her second rather than her first. I recall hearing "rise again" and perhaps "rejoin". I have to admit this part of the scene, from Lily's sorting to Snape begging Dumbledore to protect Lily, was cut more quickly than I could keep up, and perhaps someone else caught it more clearly. Grunnings 10:20, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

It was definatley the second prediction, it said 'servant and master will be reunited once moreeeeeeee' Adiposefriend 20:36, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Are there only 2 deleted scenes in the movie or more...??Im talking about Part 2. 20:57, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

What makes you say that? We won't know for a while yet. Gryffindor1991 22:08, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

Because in this article,it clearly says that there are 2 deleted scenes. 14:51, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

We can not be sure yet. HOWEVER, What we can be sure of is that there is a deleted scene that is shown in the trailer but not in the film and it is the scene where Voldemort is holding Harry's face and says "Why do you live?" then Harry says "Because I have something worth living for." because I have seen the film twice now and I haven't seen that scene in the film and so I am sure it is deleted. "Filming on Location" section is in the wrong article

All of the items in the "Filming on Location" section pertain to scenes from Part 1 (i.e. the Wedding) and should be moved to that film's article. 21:57, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

Prince's memory error

Hasn't anyone else noticed that when Harry takes Snape's tears (memories) in the vial he only takes like one or two tears and when he pours them in the Pensieve the Vial is shown to be like half full of "tears"? Anyway, the Prince's tale was my favorite part in the book and the film and Alan Rickman did an amazing job that made it more emotional than ever. We never get to know the real Severus Snape until that part.

Rita Skeeter

Other Deleted Scene:

After watching DH: Part 2 I noticed a certain other scene (Not the Harry: "Because I have something worth living for!") bit that must have have been deleted. But I remembered in the same trailer we saw as that scene, there was one bit where Argus Filch is walking down somewhere (possibly the Dungeon) and then there is an explosion behind him. This wasn't shown in the final movie. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs).

I think that's the Slytherins being locked up in the dungeons, and Draco, Goyle and Zabini breaking out of there. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 12:00, July 27, 2011 (UTC)

More detail needed for epilogue reshoot

It's clear the epilogue refilming was due to the very uncomplimentary makeup used in the first version - images were circulated showing Radcliffe and Watson in aged make-up and they did look pretty ratty. Perhaps this should be expanded upon in the article, especially if the original epilogue footage shows up on the DVD/Blu-ray release. 04:35, July 28, 2011 (UTC)

Young James Potter I actor

Has the name of the actor who played 11-year-old James Potter I in the "Prince's Tale" been revealed anywhere? Unfortunately, there seems to have been some kind of error in the credits, because "Young James Potter" is credited as Robbie Jarvis and "Young Sirius Black" as James Walters, who played those characters as teenagers in OotP. Starstuff (Owl me!) 04:46, July 28, 2011 (UTC)

Someone asked Ben Clarke this on Twitter. Ben said that James is played by 13-year old Alfie McIlwain:!/benedictclarke/status/107892013030055936 Greater good, 13:01. 3 September 2011

Deleted Scenes Effect?

Does anybody know if the effects will be finished or unfisnished for the deleted scenes when they're all officially released? I just want to know b/c the deleted scenes in some of the earlier movies were done with the effects so that they looked like they were just taken out. But for some deleted scenes, especially the DH Part 1, their effects weren't done. Does anyone think that they'll be great? Please answer! THANKS :D I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NOVEMBER RELEASE FOR THE DVD!!!!!!!!!!! POTTER FTW ALONG WITH POTTERMORE! XD

Happy DVD Release Day

The DVD was finally released today, so a friend and I spent the afternoon watching it and talking about it. I love it. Mostly, I love all the Neville parts, the Snape scenes, the forest, anything with Draco in it, Gringotts, when Harry first is greeted by all his old friends, and the scene in the Great Hall where Snape tells the students to tell him where Harry is and Harry steps out. He has an awesome line "How dare you stand where he stood. Tell them how it happened that night. Tell them how you looked him in the eyes, a man who trusted you, and killed him. Tell them." (Quote may not be exact, but that's at least close). Watch the DVD! Mllehermione 23:22, November 11, 2011 (UTC)

Are there any American DVDs with Harry's face on the side? There are British and foreign versions but a lot of American copies don't have that. Is there a American copy that has his face with "Year Seven" above and "Part Two" below? Please I want to complete my Harry Potter collection! SeanWheeler 00:01, December 18, 2011 (UTC)

Did anyone notice, after Harry and Voldy duel, and voldy's killing curse hits him, he turns black and discintegrates, the wand flies from his hands, when it zooms out and the wand can be seen flying towards harry, there are people standing and watching on the side of the courtyard.

There's about 4 people

The article on this doesn't have many pictures, I guess that's because it just came out, but it could use some more visuals.

Deleted Scenes

It seems like every so often, a particular anon comes and edits the article to complain about the deleted scenes section being removed. Just wondering, is there are a particular reason why that section was removed from the article? ProfessorTofty 05:44, February 5, 2012 (UTC)

Jamie Marks

In this source: is said, that Jamie Marks plays Ernie Macmillan. This source is given on the article's page of Jamie Marks, too. So why reducing to an unknown student?
Harry granger   Talk   contribs 12:39, March 28, 2012 (UTC)

There's sources and true sources. If you refered to Jamie Marks's CV on his agent's website here, it's only said he's a boy. He's uncredited on the end of the film. So if Scifi doesn't give a source reliable to say he's Ernie (almost all other actors of the page are credited and therefore reliable, but not him), it seems to me really dangerous to say it's the case on the wiki. Disseminate information that are not reliable and therefore may be wrong is not the goal of the wiki. Have no reliable information in the middle of reliable information diminishes our credibility. --   Famini    talk    contribs   13:01, March 28, 2012 (UTC)

That are interesting informations. That I didn't know. O. k., in this case I understand your cautiousness.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 13:04, March 28, 2012 (UTC)

Maybe Jamie Marks's page (and possibly Ernie's page if mention is made of the fact that Jamie Marks plays him) can be rearranged to say that a site indicates that it interprets Ernie but that remains to confirm. I searched a few days ago and I have not found anything other than this site. Look for Bronson Webb in HP3, we do not say it on the wiki he is Theodore Nott even though many of us think so, for his part he is a credited actor but just as "Slytherin Boy" so we can not take shortcuts... But for my part, I do not touch the pages (apart from the language links), I'm mostly on talk pages, because I do not speak English well enough to have the legitimacy to write something decent... --   Famini    talk    contribs   13:16, March 28, 2012 (UTC)

EPIC FAIL in movie

I'm sorry but has anyone else noticed a major failure in the this movie (DH-part2): when Harry is in the Pensieve going through Snape's memories, the prophecy that Snape remembers isnt the first one but the second one "servant and master shall be reunited once more" - ridiculous! How could they make a mistake there? 00:40, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

"Initially when Harry and Voldemort are reaching for their wands, it can be seen that Harry's wand has no rock immediately surrounding it, in the next shot rock magically appear immediately behind it." Who wrote this and what is it supposed to mean? The grammar is horrible and whats this about a rock around the wands? I'm assuming this was done by google translate or something Neko Vira (talk) 03:08, December 23, 2012 (UTC) I'm pretty sure the grammar is irrelevant- this isn't an English essay- but yeah I don't know what he/she is talking about though Gleek:D (talk) 18:51, December 23, 2012 (UTC)

I belive this is meant to represent the fact that the handle of Harry's wand normally looks like a rock covering the wand. --Hunnie Bunn (talk) 19:20, December 23, 2012 (UTC)

Do you guys think this is the best Harry Potter movie? If not, what is your favourite Harry Potter movie? I always get very emotional when I watch it. Also, I'm new to Wikia and I'm a bit confused - there seems to be no comment area on any of the wiki pages on the Harry Potter wiki, but there are on other wikis that I've visited.
