I checked: it doesn't say that Sirius knew for "months" but rather he knew for "a while". In Ch 18, Sirius never said he learnt the day he escaped. The timeline is odd because it seems that there was probably less than a week between when Sirius found out and when he escaped and certainly no more than a month (the difference between when the Weasley family photo was published in the paper and Harry's birthday since Fudge handed Sirius that day's paper which is how he found out and Harry went downstairs the morning after to find Sirius in the news) --75.155.4.128 21:46, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Azkaban[]
"This is the only book in the series whose name has a word completely original to the series, this word being "Azkaban"." This is not true. Azkaban is mentioned in the previous book.

- That's true, but it's original to the series - as in, nobody outside of Harry Potter hears it. --Hunnie Bunn (talk) 20:30, May 8, 2013 (UTC)
Cedric "error"[]
On page 174 in the American paperback edition, it mentions, "Diggory was a fifth year and a lot bigger than Harry. However, in the next book, Cedric is a seventh year due to being a contestant in the Triwizard Tournament.
This isn't accurate. Cedric could have been a 6th year and of age. It was age, not year for criteria. The twins were only a few months short since thier birthday was April 1. It is possible Cedric as a 6th year with a birthday before the deadline.

- You're correct, it's not an error. I've removed it. ProfessorTofty (talk) 23:04, February 26, 2013 (UTC)
Voldemort's influence[]
Since Black spent over a decade in prison for the actions of one of Voldemort's followers and escaped to get revenge for Voldemort's last murders it could be argued that Voldemort had a major influence on his actions, at least indirectly. Tjb173 (talk) 19:51, May 8, 2013 (UTC)

Snape[]
when Dumbledore said that Snape had suffered "A severe disapointment", he was not talking about his chances of getting an order of merlin going up in smoke. He was talking about Snape's anger at Sirius because he thought he betrayed Lily.74.104.168.132 22:34, June 4, 2013 (UTC)
Werewolf Illustration[]
I feel very certain that the illustration for Chapter 18: Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs is actually meant to be Lupin's werewolf form, which is described in the novels as looking almost exactly like a wolf. Sirius's dog form is portrayed in other illustrations throughout the series, and does not look like the illustration for this chapter. I have made no edits, but I think this needs to be addressed.
