The guys are right. A housemaster (or housemistress) is somebody who looks after the pupils at a boarding school. Journalism or wizarding supremacy, pure-blood elitism, pure-blood bias are not used as canon terms. Housemaster is a word in the English languaguage like "job" or "television"!

I removed it because the sentence would become quite redundant/repetitive: "A Head of House is a housemaster who is responsible for one of the Hogwarts Houses." --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 23:54, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

MY WORD PEOPLE THESE DAYS! - —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs).

Prof. Dumbledore should be added to the galery. I cannot do this for I have no account.

There is no actual evidence that Dumbledore was a Head of House.

There's been merge templates on the articles for the Heads of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin for as long as I can remember. Maybe we should actually finally settle the matter of whether to merge them in here or not? I'd be for it, personally. It's pretty much the same position for each house, we don't have Prefects or Head Boys/Girls separated by house. -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 19:37, November 9, 2012 (UTC)

Support merge based on this reasoning - I am in favour of that when the individual articles basically just repeat the same information. ProfessorTofty (talk) 22:31, November 9, 2012 (UTC)
Ditto. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 22:56, November 9, 2012 (UTC)
Support for the above reasons. --Remember (Least We Forget) 23:02, November 9, 2012 (UTC)
Merging within the next day or two unless there's any further concerns. ProfessorTofty (talk) 12:22, November 15, 2012 (UTC)
After closer examination, I'm not so sure. It seems like the individual articles have good information that isn't currently on the Head of House and which might make for easier reading if split. Thoughts? ProfessorTofty (talk) 23:53, November 19, 2012 (UTC)
