Wizarding naturalist[]

The article wizarding naturalist redirects here. Do we know fo sure that a wizarding naturalist is the excact same thing as a Magizoologist? Isn´t it possible that a naturalist does research in several fields of study. (animals, plants, possibly even earth magic) and a Magizoologist specialises in animals? Canon only tells us that Luna did research on creatures, though.

I´d suggest that we create a seperate article for wizarding naturalist, stating that it may or may not be the same thing as a Magizoologist.--Rodolphus (talk) 16:56, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

Hagrid[]

Thoughts on if he should be listed as a Magizoologist? I'm not sure what to consider as needed qualifications and could go either way. --Ironyak1 (talk) 20:30, April 7, 2017 (UTC)

I´m not sure if there are even set qualifications. Newt Scamander may not even have graduated from school. (I remember long talks about this topic). Personally, I never considered a Magizppöpgist. I´m sure he is never refered to as one in canon.--Rodolphus (talk) 20:43, April 7, 2017 (UTC)

Rowling has never referred to Hagrid as a Magizoologist. He is only ever Keeper of the Keys/Groundkeeper and then Professor. Maybe just a note in Behind the scenes stating the possibility until we see any further evidence? -- Kates39 (talk) 21:34, April 7, 2017 (UTC)
If I may come with an input, I'm pretty certain that being Professor of Care of Magical Creature is not the same as being a Magizoologist, the latter of which (to me) seems a lot more comprehensive. Ninclow (talk) 23:49, April 7, 2017 (UTC)
