Bletchley appeared as a female in the first film. Could anyone upload an image of him/her?--Rodolphus 14:38, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Done. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 00:26, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Red-head[]

How do we know the red head Slytherin is Bletchley? --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 22:17, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, how do we know?? --Danniesen

I can tell you if Miles was the Red-Head, he was not the Keeper. I just saw a clip from the 2nd film. --Danniesen

Age and School years[]

Bletchley is either one or two years above Harry, as he was on the team in Philosoper's stone and was still there in Order of the Pheonix. I have removed the bit about Deathly hallows' school year, as Bletchley would have left Hogwarts by then, and Have changed his birth year to c. 1977-1979. Decat (talk) 06:25, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

In Chamber of Secrets, he instead was depicted as a redhead and was played by David Churchyard. Not so. Redhead was played by Tony Christian (Slytherin Beater #3). Link:http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1290161/

Youngest Quidditch player or youngest seeker[]

Regarding the reference I checked the the midnight Duel chaoter in PS, and in my German version of PS, Ron tells Harry that he must be the youngest Qiidditch player in a century, not the youngest seeker. This would include other positions as well, wouldn't it? Rodolphus (talk) 17:00, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

Apperance in first film[]

In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the Slyhterin keeper is a witch, not a wizard, which Miles was the latter. Unless it is proven that Miles has his gender changed in the film, which I find the idea of quite implausible, I would say that the character seen in this film is a portrayal of a different character altogether, and not supposed to be a portrayal of Miles, since Miles is also a male only name, not unisex. I am also unusre if this would apply to other claimed appearances of Miles in the sequel films in the appearances section. Any thoughts? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by RedWizard98 (talkcontribs) 19:22, 28 August 2021‎ (UTC).

If I remember correctly, Lee refers to her as Bletchley in the film.Rodolphus (talk) 19:27, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Checked it. The female Keeper is indeed called Bletchley in the film.Rodolphus (talk) 19:36, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

One single usage of just the surname is not good enough evidence imo. As RedWizard says, Miles is definitely only a masculine name, why would Miles randomly be female in the film but still called Miles? Amy Puglia's character is surely a different, albeit non-canonical Bletchley, that should perhaps get her own article labelled as such, and this article about Miles rewritten to just cover the book character? And where is the source that Miles is also David Churchyard's character? -  MrSiriusBlack  Talk  22:57, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

From the evidence, I would assume that the female incarnation of Bletchley isn't canon, since Miles is a male in the books. I'm guessing that makes the male depiction of presumably Miles (there is only one Slytherin keeper I assume?) in the second film is therefore canonically accurate. RedWizard98 (talk) 23:09, 28 August 2021 (UTC)

Agreed on creating a separate article on the female Bletchley. Especially given we also have a separate article for the female Bletchley.Rodolphus (talk) 05:32, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
