Expansion?

Could someone who plays Fantastic Beasts: Cases from the Wizarding World possibly expand upon his biography, as it only currents contains information surrounding one case in the game. --RedWizard98 (talk) 03:29, July 28, 2020 (UTC)

I seem to recall Ironyak1 mentioning in passing somewhere that she was playing through the game? Perhaps you could ask her? Tfoc (talk) 03:49, July 28, 2020 (UTC)

I do hate to have removed a lot of this content, but there is no actual concrete proof he even went to Hogwarts; he may have been born in and trained in another country. It is possible if he was born in Britain or Ireland, but not proof, and especially considering he appears to be of Asian descent; he may have been born overseas. --RedWizard98 (talk) 20:05, July 28, 2020 (UTC)

Cho Chang appears to be of Asian decent, and Kingsley seem to be of African descent, neither of which says anything about where they come from, so that argument is invalid. Also -  he is a Healer at St Mungo's, which it recquires certain academic credentials to become. These credentials have been identified as a specific results on your N.E.W.T.s. exams. N.E.W.T.s is a set of tests given to students at Hogwarts, which as we know, only accept students from Great Britain. You don't get any more specific than that, really. Tfoc (talk) 21:13, July 28, 2020 (UTC)

But on this wiki, we don't say people went to Hogwarts when we have zero proof that states they even attended. Simply assuming things about characters but then treating them as absolute facts isn't how facts are found on this wiki; it is called speculation.--RedWizard98 (talk) 01:57, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

Secondly, Kingsley and Cho Chang are both confirmed Hogwarts students, whilst this character isn't. How could we even say we knew what subjects he took at Hogwarts if we can't even prove his attendance, other than making broad assumptions about what he likely did, not what what he concretely did.--RedWizard98 (talk) 01:59, July 29, 2020 (UTC)
Unless it states in the game that Abasi did attend Hogwarts during his youth, only then can we say he attended in his biography. This applies to every other adult wizard or witch character whose Hogwarts attendance isn't confirmed.--RedWizard98 (talk) 02:01, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

If you believe it's speculation to say that the only set of necessary preconditions recquired to become a Healer in Great Britain established to exist in canon probably is how a member of the British wizarding community became a Healer, then perhaps looking up what the word "speculative" means would be helpful? The fifth book makes it clear that - in order to become a Healer - you have to achieve 'E' or higher on five N.E.W.T.s. There are no other way provided in canon by which the job is obtainable, and unless Rowling comes out and say that people can take said exam without going to Hogwarts, then hey, guess what, then I will concede the point. Until then, I will say that tier-canon outrank your opinion. Tfoc (talk) 02:15, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

The Hogwarts subjects required in the UK and Ireland are stated in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Chapter 29 (Careers Advice), but all I'm saying is that we can't confirm he went to Hogwarts because it just doesn't say he did. He may have been educated and trained outside the UK. I don't want to edit war, but the same concept does apply to all other characters with unconfirmed education histories.--RedWizard98 (talk) 02:22, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

Please refrain from accusing me of speculation when you yourself are justifying undoing my edit by means of fanfiction. Listen to yourself: "He may have been educated and trained outside the UK." How is it okay for you to undo my edit on the assumption that a made up scenario that has never occcurred in canon might be the case, but somehow NOT okay for me to say that the only way to become a Healer in Britain provided in canon how he became one? Why should I listen to you above Rowling herself? Tfoc (talk) 02:33, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

You are of course correct about Healer training in the UK, but it is potentially possible that St Mungos may hire Healers from overseas; nothing is confirmed about this though but it could be a possibility.--RedWizard98 (talk) 02:41, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

That is a rather harsh and aggressive way of arguing a point. If might be a good idea for you to contact an admin like Rodolphus or Ironyak if you wish over this, but there really is no need to become so indignant about topics being discussed on this wiki.--RedWizard98 (talk) 02:38, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

Harsh? Perhaps. Aggressive? Not even a little. And I'm not indignant. Please answer the question. Tfoc (talk) 02:42, July 29, 2020 (UTC)
