Is their a screenshot we can use for them available? Patr0nus ( Expecto Patronum! ) 17:21, September 19, 2009 (UTC)
- I have the one. It's very low quality, but it will have to do until someone can get a better one. --Parodist 17:26, September 19, 2009 (UTC)
Writing on the Portrait[]
I´ve watched the scene and think his Portrait features the words Atodome XXX. XXX means 30, indicating he died at that age. But what does Atodome mean? Perhaps this is his name or I misread it. And by the way, should the other unidentified Headmasters get articles as well?--Rodolphus 15:18, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
Gandalf?[]
Back when the Chamber of Secrets film came out, it was widely rumored (e.g. here, here, here, here and so forth) that as an in-joke, the film's producers based one of the portraits in Dumbledore's office on Ian McKellen's portrayal of Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings (the first film of which had been released when CoS was made). This portrait seems to bear the closest resemblance to Gandalf; in particular, his belt resembles the one worn by McKellen as Gandalf the Grey (see here, for example).
Now, some people dispute whether this is anything more than a coincidence (after all, the image of the wizard in long robes and pointy hat largely derives from Gandalf in the first place), but I was wondering whether a) anyone had heard this confirmed in any legitimate and/or official source, and b) whether this was worth noting as a background note in the article. —Josiah Rowe 04:26, November 28, 2010 (UTC)
Sadly, it's not Gandalf. Massive disapointment. It doesn't look that much like him anyway. But you never know... there are so many portraits in the headmaster's office that one of them may well be Gandalf.
Elder Wand?[]
This Headmaster's wand have one of the traits from the Elder Wand; the little white piece of paper. And i just wondered if he was one of the previous owners of the Elder Wand. --Danniesen 18:30, October 20, 2011 (Denmark)
Real Age[]
We can actually get a closer guess at this guy's age due to the fact that he must have been AT LEAST 17 to have been Headmaster, and as he died at the age of 35, his date of death can't have been any later than 1955 (given that Dippet earliest appearance as Headmaster is in 1937: 35-17=18).

Died being 35?[]
Okay, so, the portrait says he was aged 35 on the portrait, and we know that all portraits are of dead people.
But, it could be that he aged 36, not having a portrait of him being 36, only 35.
Who says that he could only die when the portrait was painted? He could've died when he was 35+, just not having a portrait painted.
