I think this and Unidentified Ravenclaw prefect are the same person.

  1. The unidentified individual appears in the first film, just when Pottermore is located.
  2. Both Hilliard and the unidentified character in the film seem to be the equivalent to Percy Weasley.
  3. In Harry's first years, it appears to be one prefect in each house.
  4. The individual in the film serves as a guide to first years, as Hilliard does.
  5. The individual in the films is never identified, so according to our policy, the name given in higher canon should be him, as the prefect in the film suits perfectly Hilliard's role.

According to this, they must be merged. Thanks, --RavenclawcrestThe Evening Prophet Ravenclawcrest (Owl Post) 18:43, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

Agreed on all points.--Rodolphus 18:45, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

If I might:
  1. That moment in Pottermore is set in 1991, as is that scene in the film, but there were three male Ravenclaw Prefects at that point (one in his fifth year, other in his sixth, and other in his seventh).
  2. Hilliard welcomed the first years to Ravenclaw Tower. For all we know, the unidentified Prefect may have taken the first years there and Hilliard may have took it from there. Just because Percy both escorted the first years and gave them their welcoming speech at Gryffindor Tower, it doesn't mean all of the school prefects did likewise.
  3. Wrong. There are 6 prefects in a house at any given point: 3 males and 3 females.
  4. See No. 2. Hillard welcomed the first years at Ravenclaw Tower, there's no evidence that he escorted them there.
  5. See all above points. The unidentified prefect would only be identified as Hilliard if, and only if, we have convincing and absolute evidence that they are the same person.
