Yes, JK often does odd things like that when naming her characters.-Matoro183 (Talk) 21:38, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

Aye tradition of the black family, most of the family members were named after constellation, stars or galaxy (Andromeda) 10:14, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Libra Malfoy

Is it true that Rose Weasley and Scorpius MaLfoy gets married and have a child called Libra Malfoy ? I came across such an information on internet and i am confused :S :S O.o —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs).

That must have been a fanfiction.--Rodolphus 15:08, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Accompanied by parentS?

There is no mention in the book that his mother accompanied him to the Hogwarts Express. Is there another source for this information? Skintigh 15:15, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

Don't know about the British edition, but it's on page 755 of the American hardcover: "Draco Malfoy was standing there with his wife and son [...]" --Cubs Fan (Talk to me) 15:07, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
Ahhh, I must have just glanced over that part when looking for a name. Thanks.Skintigh 15:17, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, no prob. I've done that before; when I re-read the books, I always find something I'd never noticed before. --Cubs Fan (Talk to me) 15:23, May 17, 2010 (UTC)
I just re-read the whole series and found a ton of stuff I missed the first time. (I also hate the Malfoys less now.) I'm tempted to do it again and mark it, or get all OCD and enter it here, if someone hasn't already. I also saw a literary guide for reading the series that points out all the foreshadowing and references to past literature. Maybe in a few years when I read it again...Skintigh 15:34, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

Bellatrix Lestrange

Shouldn't the fact that Bellatrix Lestrange is his grandmother's sister be coveyed in this article? I mean, mentioning her as a grand aunt...? I'm going to add that. Please revert my edit if you find it wrong. -- Lord Midhav 05:39, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

In this interview:, Tom Felton says that he believes that a young actor named Bertie Gilbert plays Scorpius. Since he isn't completely sure, this is just speculation at the moment. Mr. Mortimer, 22:18, 20 December 2010

just a random question...but...

I've been thinking that Scorpius could be a Ravenclaw, but would also do well in Slytherin. So what do people think? Ravenclaw or Slytherin?

I heard JK said in an interview he was a Gryffindor, does anyone have reliable sources saying so or otherwise?

JK never said what house he was in. It could really be any of them.

J.K. Rowling has not stated the house of Scorpius Malfoy in any interviews. Please sign your posts. DisturbedLemon 23:51, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

A slight complaint

Can we go back to the old picture? The new one is bad quality. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs).

Yes check Done (Hope I'm allowed to use this template, only ever seen admins use it...) -- 1337star (Owl Post) 03:40, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
The edit-warring regarding the image is starting to get a bit ridiculous. I agree with 1337star's comment that the face-forward image looks like it was taken with a rock cake, one of Hagrid's, I'd say. Can't we get a better image, one that both shows his face and is decent quality? ProfessorTofty 18:22, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
I'll admit the current image isn't great but at least it is of decent quality. The face forward one is of extremely low quality, painful to look at and lowers the professional quality of this wiki IMO. What we really need is a good quality photo showing his face. -Shorty1982 23:55, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
Can't you just use a photo of the actor? It's just so strange to have a photo that's just his back. MusicManiac12323 04:53, December 14, 2011 (UTC)
We require pictures of characters to be in-universe. In other words, a picture of Bertie Gilbert as himself is not sufficient, it needs to be a picture of Bertie Gilbert on set as Scorpius. -- 1337star (Owl Post) 06:09, December 14, 2011 (UTC)
The current image is not of Bertie Gilbert, but of his body double. Regardless of quality, an image whose subject has their back to the camera is completely unsuitable as it's failling to fufill the most basic function of a main image, which is to show the characters face. Jayden Matthews 10:27, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

I agree with Jayden Matthews. There were in the past photos of lower quality then the deleted. When they are too bad they of course should be deleted, but this deleted photo is not so bad. And a photo with no face says nothing.  Harry granger   Talk   contribs 16:52, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

His current photo is not even remotely acceptable. It's of his side! How is anyone supposed to get an idea of what the character looks like, if the only picture you have of him is his side! Please change it to the low quality one that's he's facing forward in because this one is just unacceptable. 20:12, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

I'm in favor of the one facing forward. Captain Suì-Fēng 18:23, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

Fourth nephew, once removed of Albus Potter?

I'm almost certain that there is no verification that Charlus Potter is, as speculated, Harry Potter's grandfather, and therefore, there is no verification that Harry and his children "are descendants of Phineas Nigellus Black" like Scorpius. I think this should be removed. Unless I've missed some new revelation? Slytherclaw5450 (talk) 23:19, November 13, 2013 (UTC)Slytherclaw5450

That may actually refer to his relation through the Weasley family, not the Potters. I'll have to check it later, since the whole "Nth cousin X-times removed" thing is more than a bit confusing to me and it may take a little while for me to verify. - Nick O'Demus 23:28, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
View ProfileOh I do that all the time, where I forget about Ginny... That didn't even cross my mind, that the relation was through Ginny...even though the Weasleys were mentioned in the same bullet. I have a reference chart for the cousin thing. It makes the relationships quite simple. I checked, and the relationship is fourth cousin, once removed. Sorry for the little drama. I am blonde! Slytherclaw5450 (talk) 00:14, November 14, 2013 (UTC)Slytherclaw5450

It seems Scorpius is fourth nephew as Arthur Weasley is Cedrella Black's son whose gradfather is  Phineas Nigellus Black and  Arthur is a third cousin to Cygnus Black third who is Bellatrix, Andromeda and Narcissa's father what means Arthur Weasley is second uncle to Narcissa, whereas Ron and Ginny third uncle and aunt to Draco. Eventually, Scorpius is forth nephew to Ron and Harry's children AimeeMoon 19:48, november 17, 2018 (GMT+6)

Also Known As

I don't think "Bread Head" should be put down as something he was "Also Known As"! It's a very strange thing he was called in an unkind manner and it was only said once I think! Would it be okay if I removed it? Thank you :) --Kates39 (talk) 20:55, August 22, 2016 (UTC)

Per the AKA Guidelines, it needs to be used more than once, so yes, it should be removed. Cheers --Ironyak1 (talk) 21:00, August 22, 2016 (UTC)

Son of Lord Voldemort?

As the article notes, many believed (wrongly) that Scorpius was secretly the son of Lord Voldemort and not of Draco Malfoy. But how could there have been any possibility for him to be the son of Lord Voldemort knowing that he was born in 2006 while Lord Voldemort died in 1998? How could that belief even exist? Kritique (talk) 20:30, December 28, 2016 (UTC)

This rumor is basically the combination of two facts revealed in Cured Child. One, that a child of Voldemort exists, and two that the Malfoys have a time-turner that would allow one to travel back decades. The rumor combines these facts together to say that Astoria travelled back to Voldemort's time to conceived Scorpius with him, although she would have to travel to 2006 so he cold be born and achieve his proper age. From a writing perspective, the rumor works as foreshadowing so these reveals don't just come out of nowhere. --Ironyak1 (talk) 18:20, December 29, 2016 (UTC)

Why is Scorpius in Slytherin when he is so obviously a Ravenclaw? He's so sweet, not dangerous in any sense, super smart, and a great friend. How did he end up in Slytherin? And don't tell me it's because Draco was a Slytherin, so was the rest of Sirius' family. Was he a Slytherin? No, so why is Scorpius?

I exist (talk) 01:52, January 16, 2017 (UTC)

You should know that Slytherin is not a bad ass house ! Salazar Slytherin want a cunning, resourcefulness and ambition students.Scorpius is a smart boy and so kind, right? But why Slytherin is'nt have that students in it house? You could saw it from Snape, or Draco who is Scorpius father. He takecare of his son very well. Draco is a bad student because he have no choice ! In fact, i think he is kind and warm boy. So , you should not misunderstood about Slytherin , they are not bad at all. Sorry for my broke Eng.
