Would this be considered a jinx or transfiguration? is ripping beneficial or inherently harmful? thoughts? Mafalda Hopkirk 16:47, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

I agree, isn't transfiguration depicted as the transformation of one thing into another, if anything I would class this spell as a charm not a transfiguration spell. Xanadu1 11:34, 31st July 2009 (GMT)

In all English versions of the series, the incantation is Diffindo. In the first three video games the Danish version is also Diffindo, however the Danish incantation changes to Molestero in the fourth book and game. However the incantation, in Danish, changes to Diffindo in the last book. Which one should I be listening to. --Danniesen

Can someone please respond on this one? -- 19:22, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
Why does it matter? This is an English language wiki. Translations often vary for a variety of reasons. -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 19:29, August 29, 2012 (UTC)
Diffindo. because it is the English incantation, so it is the "official" incantation. Then, in the French version, we have the same problem : in the first four books and video games, the spell is "Cracbadaboum". But, the incantation changes to Diffindo in the Order of the Phoenix. So I think, we must use Diffindo ;) Lady Junky (talk) 19:32, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

Is used by wizards who commit Suicide? Where was this mentioned? 21:37, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

Sounds like speculation/fanon to me. I'll remove it - should only be added back if someone can provide a source. ProfessorTofty 21:40, December 30, 2011 (UTC)
