This individual worked for the German Ministry of Magic as an Auror in 1932.[1]
Biography[]
In 1932, as the Great Wizarding Express train carrying Dumbledore's first army arrived at Friedrichstraße Station in Berlin, Eulalie Hicks looked out of the train window and spotted this individual on the platform. He stood out both because of his height and because of his demeanour.[2]
Later on, after Theseus Scamander was kidnapped at the German Ministry by Helmut and other Dark Aurors working for Gellert Grindelwald, Newt Scamander, Jacob Kowalski and Hicks questioned a Ministry official on Theseus's whereabouts. The official denied that the Ministry had him, and Jacob then spotted Helmut and this Auror walking past. Jacob, Newt and Hicks pursued Helmut and this Auror until a glass wall suddenly appeared blocking Jacob, Newt and Hicks's path.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
- This official is portrayed by German actor Manuel Klein in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. The film's credits and the screenplay refer to this character as "Tall Auror".
- There is a deleted scene from Secrets of Dumbledore in which this Auror, while tailing Albus Dumbledore, is seemingly killed with a nonverbal Killing Curse by Aurelius Dumbledore. As this was cut from the film, it is unclear whether this can be considered a canon event.
