The Tapestry Corridor[1], also know as the Portrait Corridor[3], was a corridor located on the first floor of Hogwarts Castle. It connected the Viaduct Entrance to the main first floor. Its walls were covered in tapestries and, hung over the tapestries, portraits of wizards.[1][2] It was also where the Potions Storeroom was located.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, this is where Harry Potter overheard Severus Snape and Igor Karkaroff discussing their dark marks,[4] as opposed to in the Potions Classroom in the book.[5] This is also where Snape accuses Harry of stealing ingredients for Polyjuice Potion from,[4] as opposed to in his classroom in the book.[5]
