A horoscope for the sign Taurus in the Daily Prophet
Taurus is one of the twelve astrological signs in the western zodiac.[1] Every year, the sun is in this sign from 21 April to 20 May, and those born during this period are considered Tauruses (also called Taureans).[1] The Daily Prophet ran a horoscope for Taurus and the other signs of the zodiac in the horoscope section featured on its back page by 1995.[2]

Those born under the Taurus star sign were known for their hardworking and tenacious nature. Referred to as the Builders of the zodiac, they worked diligently and methodically to achieve something great, often putting in the necessary effort over long periods of time. As a fixed star sign, Taureans had an enduring quality that allowed them to outlast any obstacle. This practicality often extended to their love for nature, and many Taureans took up gardening as a way of connecting with the earth and bringing their ideas to life.[3]
As a sign governed by Venus, the planet of love and beauty, Taureans had a strong sense of self. Their values were deeply ingrained, and they were unlikely to change them for anyone. Like the bull they were symbolised by, Taureans stood firm in their beliefs and faced adversity with unwavering strength.
